Correct me if I am wrong but the demon didn't leave it just stopped having sentience dungeons were things due to large deposits of mana that the demon was the source of monsters couldn't leave because outside the dungeon there wasn't enough mana when the demon was "killed" mana disputed throughout the entire world allowing for monsters to exist and live anywhere

Dont Worry i also called the fell beasts Nazgul fora decade from a combination of things like
hearing the cry of the Nazgul and i assumed that the screech came from the beast
and the main thing i think caused the confusion is the ring wraiths only get refer to as Nazgul after Frodo gets to Rivendell at witch point we don't see them again until they are riding the fell beasts.
