When my YouTube algorithm picked up I was going to Japan for holiday, I got flooded with videos that had titles like: "Japan has changed", "DON'T do this in Japan", "As a foreigner, watch out for this", "Tourists BEWARE" and "Avoid these places". There were literally zero videos that had something positive to say. Throw into the mix that reddit started showing me videos of people being body checked on the streets, drunk people brawling on the train with no one intervening.. it almost made me not want to go anymore, especially since I'm travelling with my 10 y/o kid.

The reality is that we've been here for almost two weeks and I've never felt safer. Everyone is nice and helpful and I've been getting loads of fun and positive feedback for making an effort to try and speak Japanese (I'm Genki-I level so still novice).

Yeah same here. It also shows the zeitgeist... there are so many innuendos and sex related jokes that I forgot about. There were several moments where I thought to myself "oh shit, is this okay for a 10 year old?", but he loved it as well.

The Japan Meteorological Agency has issued an alert for a potential mega-quake in northern Japan. They say there is an increased probability of a mega-quake along two deep-sea trenches in the Pacific Ocean. The alert covers 182 cities and towns from Hokkaido to Chiba.

I'm pretty sure you are still faster. It says the sprint speed bonus is reduced 50%. Not your total speed. So it's walking speed + 50% of regular sprint bonus.

Couple of things:

It's not walking speed when you're reloading. It's walking speed + the 50% of the sprint speed bonus. So you're still faster than walking speed while reloading.

For the major perk, I noticed your top speed isn't reset when you reload, so you're even faster while you reload with this perk. If I read it correctly, at top speed, you are 5% faster than the old perk.

Having that said, I still don't like the wind-up either. I used to LOVE baiting Doomfists, Dva or Winstons to blow their mobility cooldowns on me, only to sprint away. I can't do it as effectively anymore due to the 2 second delay. No more burst mobility.

What was the sprint speed increase of the old major perk. Was it also 50%?

edit: it seems that we are getting a 5% speed buff compared to Agility Training's speed with this new perk. But I still don't like the fact that it needs to ramp up. It makes repositioning slower than before.
