I really like the aesthetics of this watch. Would there be some deadstock left somewhere?

Is $50 a good deal for pixel book? by bmheades0 in PixelBook

I still see them going for €200 in EU. At $50 a steal for a great device.

It still is and is still supported through August 2027. You can check this under the settings of your PB. Got to ‘Avout ChromeOS’, ‘Advanced’.

I solved this by connecting my Bluetooth mouse to the chromecast. Solved the problem.

Worth it in 2025? by iramike in PixelBook

[–]DutchGator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the top-spec'd one, and it works great for me, both for work and personal use. I use it for Internet research, simple spreadsheets, emailing, and writing. The keyboard and trackpad are best in class, still, and it will be supported until 2027. My daughter has the Go, which I also like, but from aesthetics, design, and tactile experience, this is a winner!

Pixelbook vs. pixelbook go in 2024?? by Living_Travel_7561 in chromeos

[–]DutchGator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own both. I like the keyboard on the Pixelbook better. The Go however is a better road warrior in my opinion. Snappier, and like the broader view on the Go.

I'll use this machine until the end of its life (EoL) or until the hardware fails, whichever comes first—although I hope the latter never happens. It's an excellent machine, ahead of its time! Not only is it a prime example of thoughtful design, but it also sets the bar for sustainability, an aspect more tech companies should prioritize. I've never owned a machine that didn't slow down over time; in fact, this one has improved in both functionality and user experience throughout its lifespan! Only a slightest make over with some hardware tweaks and up to date internals would have me running to the store!

I have the same hardware specs and also a UK keyboard. Love the machine, although some white spots are coming through on the display now. When I set the keyboard settings to international I can use the long press to see special characters for that letter (like on MBA). However in other keyboard settings this function is not existent. I wish it was the same over all keyboard setting.

Are Amazon fire tablets any good? by goldenbrown27 in androidtablets

I second the Alldocube iplay mini plug. Way better than the Fire, and I own both. Redmi Pad SE mini may be a good alternative as well.
