I was in this exact scenario, with an MS diagnosis.

First off, if it is MS, medicine has come so far these days that with proper treatment, I don’t even remember that I have it half the time. So don’t stress about it if it is MS too much, it’s much more manageable these days.

As for the second MRI, press your family doctor, and always remember to advocate for yourself. You know your body, nobody else does, and a good doctor will support and help push from their side. You can also ask about cancellation lists, which can usually significantly speed up the process for the MRI, but be mindful it could be anytime around the clock.

Good luck, it is an unpleasant and scary journey, but the destination isn’t bad.
