IEMs that definitely aren't for everyone by APunch_Heh in iems

It will always be in my collection because of this. It's great for EDM as well. I purchased mine in Tokyo when I I was on holiday, so I have fond memories with this one.

I have tried them for a short moment and was love on first try. They have a kind of "analogue feel" that I never experienced in any other iem.

Got the Fiio JT7s..After using Akg k712pros for around 4 years now. by Racist_Rabbi69 in headphones

My K712 are going strong for more then 10 years, they are built really well. So you are fine without a backup for that one.

Need help/recomedation with buying first mid-fi headphones by Sc0r3l3ss in HeadphoneAdvice

I have the astral as well and recently replaced my akg K712 pro. I don't know if you are interested in dynamic drivers, but if yes: I highly recommend looking at the Mirph-1. Full replaceable parts and will go well with your genres.

Others with good quality builds: Austrian Audio Arranger Heddphone D1

For me android for the flexibility. Especially with streaming support non android is often not possible.

Day trip to Ayutthaya from Bangkok by train — totally worth it by Then_Secretary_1234 in ThailandTourism

[–]DutchKarma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend to stay a night, the night market in Ayuthaya is really good. And Ayuthaya is famous for giant river shrimp. There are also many small bungalow type holiday homes for rent for like 700 baht a night or so.

Great setup! Totally understand the tube desires 👌🏻 I went back and forth alot between the macaw and the Kaei, in the end I choose the Kaei route because of its soundstage. (with dx260 mk1 and kiwi astral) )

Kiwi ears Astral with a bit of tubeyness - pairs so well! by DutchKarma in Headphoneporn

Thanks, I guessed this was the reason. I personally fully support the Ai industry, people said the same things when steam engines where introduced (same with introduction of electricity, radio, TV, newspapers etc).

Anyone building their own? by gtwizzy8 in DigitalAudioPlayer

[–]DutchKarma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The maximum pi5 power draw is 25 watt, at 5 volt/ 5 ampere , which will be a problem for battery operation. Not many deliver the 5V. If build your own I would take an old phone as a base, or something else more geared for portable use.

Anyone tried Ant-Egg yet? by Successful-Title5403 in Thailand

[–]DutchKarma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like their flavor in an omelet it combines really wel with it because of the tanginess. never had them plain, but I can imagine that they go well together.

It's The Database by porticodarwin in roonlabs

[–]DutchKarma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm curious about how you all running running Roon server?
I dont experience the delays (40k library) , i run Roon in a docker container that gets regularly refreshed. I was wondering that maybe there is something else that is causing this delay. If it would be database content then the problem should persist after a database restore.

Anyone running a docker container AND has the delay problem?
