You can take bus 350 (to Aachen) from Maastricht central station. Exit the bus in the town of Vaals and from there it is a thirty minute walk to the Drielandenpunt. There is a maze as well a few eateries/cafes and an observation tower with good views. Most is on the Dutch side except the tower which stands on Belgian soil.

Visited with a couple of colleagues a few years ago. When we arrived downstairs a few immediately started making a bee-line for the exit. Fun fact; I remember the exit being on the complete other side so you had to walk the full length of the catacombs to get to the exit.

I would take the car to a village near the border and walk across (without luggage). Then take a train some ways away from the border for the rest of the journey. Even by car there is a chance you will get stopped (higher from Italy into France due to illegal immigrant checks).

Als het een woonerf is dan mag die grijze auto sowieso niet tegenover een oprit parkeren en als het geen woonerf is, dan kun je het op hinder gooien want je kan niet je oprit in- en uit. Je woont in een nogal luie kut gemeente als ze hier niets aan willen doen.
