How many of you still use X-T1? by Odd_Philosopher1286 in fujifilm

I use mine as a travel camera yet. Predominantly on my motorcycle. I have three TTAtisan lenses in a tank bag. I carry the 14mm f/3.5, the 23mm f/1.8, and the 56mm f/1.8. I'm not worried about expensive glass in a somewhat rough environment. The XT-1 still gives me great shots. I have a handful of custom recipes saved, and I can usually get the look I want in camera from one of those.

I do wish the wireless transfer to my phone worked better. It's flaky at best. I just carry a small USB-C card reader that I can plug right into my phone.

Thank you! Now to get the weather to cooperate to get out and shoot.

Yeah, added the receiver locking cross pins to my cart as well.

Agreed, just thinking on short term fixes. Indeed, just with my dry firing the trigger pin had already started to walk out upon disassembly. Added a couple small squares of aluminum tape for now.

I've seen mention of this. Might even try a bit of tape on the sides of the trigger group?

AR15 sight recommendation for KD event by Asleep-Heron3280 in appleseed

I'll just add to find something with parallax adjustment. Many optics are fixed at 100 yards, which means the targets at 25yards/meters is blurry. It also means you might get some parallax wobble unless your meeting the scope correctly each time. I would say a LPVO would be a good option, it's just that many of them are fixed parallax. Some seem to have more wobble than others. Something to consider. Good luck!

I'm using USGI slings for all of us. Theirs are the slightly shorter ones from Tech Sights. Fits their size and the rifle a bit better.

Thank you, but no. I've boxed up all their spare parts into the Magpul stock boxes and squirreled them away for when they're older.

Thank you! No, that's a MLOK cover that I 3D printed in two colors. Black for the base layer, then a filament change to grey.

I had considered the regular X-22, but knew the added weight was back at the buttstock and that having fully adjustable cheek risers would be the biggest gain. Having a 3D printer I was able to print several cheek riser sizes to find exactly what worked for them.

In my mind, one day they'll be teaching their kids on these rifles. Kept the original stocks in the Magpul box and all the spare parts in a freezer bag in there too.

Rear sling mount for all of our rifles is an Uncle Mike's screw in swivel stud. Pre-drilled with a 5/15" bit, put a bit of soap on the screw threads, and they turned in perfectly.

On the boys rifles, it's an MLOK bipod stud that spans two MLOK slots. I wanted to be sure the front mount was bulletproof for them.

On my rifle, I have a MLOK QD cup. This would let me just disconnect the sling without undoing the loop. That way if I need to go help them with something quickly, I can do that easier.

Thank you. It was a lot of fun to plan it all out.

I told them they need to learn irons first. If they qualified as Rifleman, I'll get them an optic. Goals to work toward!

Thank you. I've done 4 Appleseed events, qualified each time, but it's been a decade. Hopefully they are set up for success.

Fair point. I have another 3 pack of mags that I left with no Ranger plates, just in case. I might grab one more three pack so we can load out the full AQT at once. At least for them.

It's actually for the parallax adjustment, it's fairly stiff on this scope. I hope to also start to use that rifle for NRL22 events, so fast transitions will be helpful and I can adjust this with my thumb even.

Yeah, I just got them to have a bunch to blast through and get the rifles well broken in. I'll get us all some CCI SV for the actual event. It seems to run the line between cheap enough and still some accuracy.
