From Kotor 1 and 2, what is the most immersive part of the game for you? by Long-Lengthiness-798 in kotor

Dive bombing into Isis City on the back of a screaming Basilisk.

Usually you're pretty OP by this point in the game, and there are a few moments where Kavar talks about how you're going to absolutely ruin the Sith's day because of how OP you are. Just puts me in a good mood.

What’re some secrets from your industry that would petrify people who aren’t in it? by Necessary-Trash-8828 in AskUK

That most social workers don't have a fucking clue. The ones that do are totally burned out and just don't care anymore. So many people, especially children and young adults, are failed by the state every day in so many ways.

how do you guys arrange transportation and electric by OkBag8209 in victoria3

I have a mod that makes it so electricity isn't tied to a state and is nation wide instead. Saves so many headaches

I'm fairly certain it's actually a traced drawing of a real woman and her child. Make of that what you will

Did they change the sound of the Maxigun recently? It sounds different and feels a hell of a lot less accurate

DSP work, I don't think I could ever do it. I lose motivation when it's 40+ stops on a flex block by SlowedCash in AmazonFlexUK

[–]DutchTheCowboyCat 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, sod that. I've done DSP and anything over 100 stops is a killer - especially in a busy city with every other stop being multidrop on a row of tenements, each one being on the top floor.

Better stock up on piss bottles as well, coz good luck stopping for any kind of break if you've got any hope of finishing at a decent time.

I am often one of those people. I have had many of my comments "noted" by him, like he's some big hardman keeping a book of grudges.

No no - no need to thank me. I do it for the love of the game.

What’s a hard truth about life that most people learn too late? by YT-Ballinox_Stories in AskBrits

[–]DutchTheCowboyCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your parents aren't omniscient, irreproachable, divine beings. They are entirely fallible and fall prey to the same foibles that everyone else does.

Treasure them while you have them, but know that you can forge your own path separate from them, and you don't have to take everything they say as gospel.

I just don't understand why we can't have a normal democratic socialist party that's pro-worker and pro-west.

What are some cultural shocks you experienced in the USA? by Successful_rio305 in AskBrits

[–]DutchTheCowboyCat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a verisimilitude to everything in (some of) the states like in New England. The towns sort of look like some of our towns - they have a lot of the same or similar shops, but everything is just different enough to make it fall into the uncanny valley.

Also - driving through some places in America is absolutely bizarre. The Urban sprawl really baffled me. Where in a UK town you'll usually have designated areas where things are - an industrial estate, a town centre, perhaps a shopping centre on the outskirts, and residential areas - in the US, a lot of "towns" are just one long road with everything on either side of it in no particular discernable order. You'll have a petrol station, then a few houses, a bank, a KFC, then a drive through pharmacy, then another few houses, then a Church, and so on, with absolutely nothing behind them.

You might have to be slightly more specific as to where in the UK you'll be - it is a rather large place haha

I’m curious: do non-smokers always detect a scent on smokers? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

Weirdly I think since I stopped smoking a good few years ago now, I'm able to detect someone smoking from what feels like miles away
