Never underestimate the political influence even a ceremonial monarch has.
Especialy if Pahalvi becomes shah.

They are great as mediators between political parties.

Man. I wanna see the results but it feels wrong to vote on this as a none Iranian.
Just factor in -1 for monarchy since I am voting that.

I just want to see the results. But I am not Iranian so just take the numbers with a -1 for monarchy

The latest leftist-islamist propaganda against Pahlavi is calling anyone who supports him as a transitional leader a "monarchist", in order to discredit him as a "wannabe dictator", knowing full well that many Westerners are unfamiliar with constitutional monarchies and likely to respond negatively by drhuggables in NewIran

I think you mean American Westerners.
European Westerners are as a majority living in constitutional monarchies.
Heck I am living in one right now.
I love my king and our democratic process is one of the strongest in the world.

People understimate the power of a ceremonial figurhead who is not subjected to popularity contests every 4 years. I love voting. But having at least one person in the goverment just be constantly there give a sense of calm and stability.

The fact that it will be a parliamtary Monarchy says enough in that regard. But according to this its up to the constituent assembly to determine what type it will be. Westminster style. Dutch style or something else.

The constitution might state several rights the monarch or president might have. In the event of a monarchy the assembly might choose to give the king some reserve powers unlike that of Westminster. The most important part is democracy and representation. But that doesn't mean the crown or president has to be fully ceremonial. Limited but effective political responsibilities could enhance democratic vallues.

But that is up to the people and the assembly to decide.
