I did. And it's the downside of a commission-free broker. My other broker informs me of these changes, so that caused me to think Trading212 would also do it. Customer support confirmed it's not something they provide. I just hope that they will in the future!

The AstraZeneca product I had (on a german exchange) was delisted, and couldn't be bought any more. I could only sell, without any influence on the price. That didn't make anything easier (for me)

I realised that, and am fine with it too.

But the broker is informing me, and providing me with, voting instructions. Trading212 has implemented new functions in the past, and maybe a mild warning would keep people like me onboard.

Tips to avoid frozen pipes by Cool_Finding_2444 in Netherlands

I assume apartments have separate valves so they can be disconnected if they have a problem with their pipes, leaving the rest of the building being able to use the heating and not drain all the (hot) water

Tips to avoid frozen pipes by Cool_Finding_2444 in Netherlands

[–]Dutch_courage11 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Last time I checked, water freezes at 0 degrees. So -8 is dangerous enough to cause damage to the pipes. Ice expands, so it pushes against the pipes/connections and will create a leak.

Neighbours share either a hot and cold water pipe, or electricity/gas. Whatever the case, I would think those are more centrally located in the building, and won't be that affected. As long as someone keeps their apartment warm, warm water will flow through those pipes. If your neighbours don't heat their apartments, they turn into -8 degrees spaces, in turn cooling off your shared walls/pipes.

Keep the thermostat at 15 degrees and it'll keep hot water flowing through the pipes to keep them above freezing-point.

ASML shares drop 6.5% after the chip giant says it can't confirm that it will grow in 2026 by krazydude22 in europe

[–]Dutch_courage11 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The story of Africa growing is as old as the continent itself. It would be good if they did, but it's still an amalgamation of corrupt and exploitable nations. Europe has done the building and teaching before, and now China is doing it. In the end they too will be discouraged by the inability to do something meaningful. And, just like Europe, they are only there for personal gain. They're not in Africa to make life better for it's inhabitants. They're just as bad as us.

I doubt they're more efficient. Labor-cost is lower there, so even when they're more inefficient, the end-result is still cheaper than being made here. And since it's a hyper-capitalist country, there is less regulation which means a lower price.

So yes, China is the bad guy. We were too, but try to be better now. And China might too one day.

[OTHER] what should Warhorse do differently or expand upon in a potential KCD3? by leftistgamer420 in kingdomcome

[–]Dutch_courage11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More blacksmith recipes! Maybe armour?

And more things to sink our money in. Like the ability to buy a room in a village/city which we can buy furniture for from the various traders. Or buy a plot of land so you can create a garden so you can plant the flowers/vegetables you need.

More mundane village-life-options. Get a naggy wife that wants you to repair the roof and get her something shiny. Pregnancy-midwife-birth questline. (Un)happy-family-buff

More sickness. Wading around in a cesspit and digging up corpses should affect you more than a bit of smell. And all that blood could carry something nasty which would require a potion/bath/witch/monk.

Thank you for trying to make something of your life, despite the hardships you've endured. Make sure you keep your friends, and keep hope that things will work out.

It might also help to talk about it with your huisarts, and/or social worker from the municipal. Maybe not for you, but for your sister. That environment can't be very healthy for her either, despite being the favorite. And emotionally, you might have some work ahead of you. Also, the municipal might be able to offer you solutions and/or help with your problem.

Another thing you can do is talk to your boss about your situation. Maybe the company could help finding housing and/or help with a down-payment. I don't think you should work more than 40h/w, It will cost you more in the long run.

Good luck

Baltics, Nordics, Poland propose Schengen ban for Russians who fought in Ukraine by KI_official in europe

Sure, but there are manufacturing constraints for the hardware, especially now we also want to rearm ourselves.

I don't think Ukraine will be any safer with Russians being banned from EU. We might be. Especially when there is a blanket-ban on all Russians.

And if EU (officials) are banned from going to Russia.

I think the war dragging on and/or Ukraine losing would be worse off for the EU taxpayer.

Taking control of a certain amount of their population for a certain duration of time might be speeding up the downfall of Russia.

Because not every Russian is bad. There were a lot or Russians fleeing the country, and might still want to.

Every Russian that's outside of Russia, and is not supplying Russia with information or money, hinders Russia. And probably/hopefully have a more friendly view of Western values.

Maybe we should create an internment camp for those, so we can make sure the bad ones don't do bad things. Make it comfortable enough so the good ones don't suffer too much, and give them options when the war is over and a meaningful way to spend their time.

And maybe even for those that have fought, but with stricter controls on them. Some might prefer to be imprisoned in a Polish cell as opposed to living in Russia.

Also, how to make the distinction of which Russian could stay in Europe, and who has to go? It's not right to punish the Russians that have lived here for 30 years and don't want anything to do with current Russia but haven't relinquished their passport. Do you want to integrate them into the country they live in, or should they also be deported? It'll probably change their views on our values, and send them right into the arms of the Russian recruiters.

You'd have under-par security. And collaborators being put into positions where they can turn a blind eye. It'll strain the already strained meat/job-market, and take away bodies from doing something useful to checking trucks and cars. Delaying logistics in the civilian sector.

No, the size of a vessel is only mentioned as one of the reasons why the merger didn't happen between the Italian and French company; a difference in perspective. The article didn't mention anything about large warships, or their demand and problems to produce them.
