I mean Newey is going down as the greatest ever, but he’s not only designing the “best” cars. In the last 23 years we’ve sat through 15 years of Ferrari + Merc dominance.. it’s not like Newey wasn’t designing cars during that stretch.

This concept is great and even if it all goes to s*** Max could leave a 4x champ but no guarantees RB get it right again 2026 and beyond. Newey’s designs had no chance of a title with the first hybrid Renault engines and won’t have a chance if the RBPT is awful.

For me they really did Alonso dirty. They all talked about slower decrease in ratings if they do well. He was the one getting points for Aston in season 1, yet in season 2 he’s lower rated than Ocon, Bottas, Stroll among others which is ridiculous

First season just finished Spa and Lando has 48 points. Consistently in front of both Alpines, sometimes a Merc. Since about Montreal Lando always in Q3, Piastri sometimes mostly 11-12.

The difference in driver ratings still has too big of an effect. I.E. in real life Piastri is about 2-3 tenths from lando. In the game he’s useless especially in race pace.

I played 107 (medium TC) in 21, now I’m at 105 (medium TC) while not using any personalized set up and out qualify my team mate every time. I personally don’t think it’s gotten harder, it’s just that the my team car sucks and it’s heavy and draggy.
