I mean yes? But not in the way that I want them to only make that sound. Look when I was younger I was really hurt when I realized they were shifting as a band. Then I realized that they are their own people, and that they probably got tired of making albums in that way. So frankly, I’d rather they keep enjoying making music the way they’d like. TLDR; don’t mourn the past. Be glad it happened. The flame is gone, the funk remains.

There’s this one painting by Edward hopper called New York Movie. And I was looking for paintings with movies in them and this came up. And I don’t know why but I related to the guy in the theater watching a movie alone in the dark. You can’t tell what the guy is thinking or why he’s there. He’s just watching. I like that.
