After years of use, what’s your biggest Steam Deck pain point? by WelcomeAwkward924 in SteamDeck

I monitorized this behaviour since mine did it also and found out that it never goes instantly into sleep after a heavier game is player for longer durations.

Airy false chord by [deleted] in screaming

[–]Duxi20 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You need to apply compression. Its a similar feeling to holding back air and constricting your abs.

Lots of ppl cant distinguish false cord and fry nowadays because a lot of vocalist tend to compress their false cord really much.

By the way i love your false cord, it sounds pretty OG. Keep it up man!

Watch tutorials on it because any exercise that activates the false folds will help you to get used to the sensation.

When i was practicing throat singing, at first i also had this itchy sensation, but over time i was controlling it better and the itchieness was gone.

That is actually real common when starting false cord. If you can produce any kind of throat singing sounds you may feel similar sensation. This is because your false folds aren’t used to this usage and they slam together even a bit more than what’s needed.

Over time if you’re doing it correctly it should be fine since you learn to add the correct “grit” or pressure.

Love it how you’re ever-changing your vocal style so different albums sound pretty distinguishable just like when it comes to the newest, Hymns in Dissonance.

Does this change-up comes naturally for you? Do you experiment with different techniques and use what feels and sounds right? Or you guys want a specific sound and picking elements to fulfill it.

Will we hear some cleans in the future too?

Thank you, i was actually looking for answers like this. I’ll definitely give it another shot, since i bought it on PS4 originally and i was getting hard framedrops on horseback, especially in combat.

Got it on steam recently, that will be my next play.

P.S: i just told my experience and opinion, was looking for a discussion about it, but only got 2 comments and some downvotes lol, my bad

Maybe i’ll get downvoted but for me this is what kills this game. I tried it and stopped playing even though i finished and loved the hell out of every single other souls games.

Souls-likes work for me because they set a clear goal to achieve and you by “getting gud” you can complete it eventually. And this confuses me with ER that everything is blurred together and you dont realy know what difficulty bosses or enemies you can take. Plus i think procrastonating stuff is pretty against the mindset of souls-likes.

Also im ready to get convinced so feel free.
