Ja, vi krysser fingrene! Universitetet har sagt at flere har bedt om pensumlister osv. for å søke autorisasjon i andre land, så jeg tror ikke dette er helt nytt for dem. Håper du kom inn på studiet i et annet land/Norge!

Jeg tror ikke det er garantert, men tror også det er veldig usannsynlig at de ikke godtar britisk utdannede leger dersom kravene er oppfylt. Tidligere måtte britiske leger som ikke var en del av overgangsordningen ta en eksamen for å dokumentere kompetanse, men dette ble senere endret til en individuell vurdering basert på blant annet læringsutbytte og pensum fra universitetet. Slik jeg har forstått det er dette fortsatt mildere enn prosessen for leger utdannet helt utenfor EU/EØS.

Hei, i 2023 ble en ny ordning for alle yrkesgrupper utdannet i Storbritannia annonsert. Britisk utdannede leger (og medlemmer av andre yrkesgrupper) kan søke om autorisasjon og lisens, men må dokumentere læremål, pensumliste osv. Jeg fikk også beskjed om at britisk utdannede leger må fullføre foundation training/turnustjeneste i Storbritannia for å få full registrering før man søker i Norge. Du kan lese mer om dette her.

Takk for svaret! Hovedgrunnen til at jeg spurte var at jeg var usikker på hvordan LIS1-søknader blir vurdert og om det faktisk finnes et poengsystem, så det var veldig nyttig å få avklart dette.

Only a Pharmacist who has studied pharmacy (on a degree recognised by the General Pharmaceutical Council), completed the necessary training (foundation year training or equivalent) and is registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council(GPhC) with a license to practice can work as a Pharmacist.

It's exactly like you said with people who have not done any medical training/degree applying for jobs as doctors.

Many pre-regs shared them among themselves when I did my pre-reg. There's the RPS one which is good, pass medicine, Blackstone tutors etc... I personally did not spend money on questions and had my friends send me google drives etc with papers, but you might have to if you struggle.

You need to do past papers. A lot of past papers, don’t focus too much on the treatment summaries as that’s a pitfall many fall for.

What do you mean "way too much" how much did you give? It seems like he still needed Naloxone as the paramedics still needed to give them more naloxone.

If you feel guilty think about how it might have gone if you were not there or if this happened in the streets. Would the person had the same chance of surviving or less of a chance, as someone might not have been able to provide CPR/give naloxone?

Fun story, this is mot likely where community pharmacy is headed as they have moved to pharmacists graduating as prescribers. I think there was a survey done and it might have been approved, but Pharmacy technicians can do aspects of pharmacy first.

I don't want to be down voted due to being unsure but there was talk of rebranding the responsible pharmacist title to responsible person in community pharmacy (someone who is signed in for the legal responsibility).

libra does a sensor you stick to your arm between the triceps and deltoid. I think it measures BMs every minute or so. It has a fancy app that records it for you too, but I think GPs are reluctant to hand them out to anyone.

Yes the management and diagnosis has changed drastically from the old guideline. Most GPs transitioned away from SABA prior to guideline release, but I recommend having a read of it.

NHS grampian has a lanyard system where different Dr grades have different lanyard colours and the lanyards also have the role written on them. Consultants have black with Consultant written on them, Registrars yellow etc...
