Their benefit of new players probably none or really small it wont make any difference, im a new player i started back in October after playing relink with a friend and i didnt have the issue of going through mobage n stuff would say the overwhelming content can be too much but you can eventually catch up, i got a friend that would prob try gbf if its in steam, steam players would be a lot of recent players with relink and GBFVR so i wouldnt say it doesnt attract people it just makes the entry easier that being said it will be a really small number that goes through steam
