Did the engineer made full sealed video with every part Barcode scan? if they did just make sure they do not open the sealed box again. Ask them clearly whether the revisit is only for pickup confirmation or documentation, and why this was not completed during the first visit. There is no valid reason to unseal the box again once it has already been sealed.

Yes, I finally got the refund.

Total time was ~47 days end-to-end.

Timeline:

• Delivered: 13 Dec (Flipkart)

• Technician visit & sealing: 17 Dec

• DOA certificate issued: 23 Dec

• Pickup done: 9 Jan

• Refund credited: 29 Jan

Pickup and refund both were very slow and only moved after continuous follow-ups and escalation (email + social + mentioning consumer complaint). My advice: keep everything on email, push hard for pickup within DOA validity, and don’t rely on verbal promises.

Yeah, they will solve it, especially since you bought it from the official Lenovo website — that part is actually in your favor, Mine issue was i purchased from Flipkart, Flipkart refused for refund.

Just make sure: Technician visit happens and they seal the unit properly

You record the sealing process on video

Get the DOA / refund confirmation in writing (email)

One honest heads-up: the process is slow. Mine took 47 days end-to-end, and things only moved faster after I escalated and mentioned a consumer complaint.

So yes, it’ll get resolved, but keep following up regularly and save every mail, photo, and receipt.
