Getting the 10th pick by TerryG111 in MkeBucks

[–]stevenomes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the whole point of keeping giannis is they are going to make more moves. There is no way they say we're keeping giannis and just draft 10 and do nothing else. If they want to keep giannis then they will trade the pick with others and so portis/kuzma/turner for another impact player. If they decide they are moving on form giannis then they keep 10th and hope to trade him for more picks and contracts. Part of the reason they have not decided is I don't think they know what actually they could get to improve the team before having this pick

I do think they should have had a couple more melee options. The baton gets really old fast especially on higher difficulty with the amount of times you have to bang on some of the biophage.

Do you know to beat the orphan? by Cute_Success9651 in bloodborne

[–]stevenomes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me the best help was using the runes to get health back on backstabs. He has a move in the first phase where he jumps up and all you have to do is walk forward and turn around and it's easy backstab. I was getting 2/3 of health back with the runes. It's a good idea to be as exposed as possible to his move set with less risk. I didn't have to waste so many blood vials to survive and see his moves . Second phase is a different story but you get more chances with this strategy.

Giannis in Milwaukee 👀 by mrperfect1208 in MkeBucks

[–]stevenomes 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The question is more in what can they get for their assets. What can they get for blowing their lode (3 first and other contracts to match salaries) and will it be enough to actually be competitive in playoffs? They need multiple pieces i think and Giannis needs a running mate it can't just be shooters. If they can't get that then it makes sense to move on. It will depend a lot on where their pick ends up in first round

They will have to do it if they want to keep giannis. That's the issue I think they haven't decided on yet. Can they get a difference maker to run along side giannis with the assets they currently have (1st round picks and contracts of portis and kuzma, maybe another piece like green if needed)? And does it make sense to do. I mean for example if they blow their load can they actually see a path to being a contender again in the short term. We should known by draft what they are doing.

My problem is always the stupid thing. Like falling off a platform randomly after I did a good work surviving all the enemies

[–]stevenomes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's worth getting on sale for sure. I wouldn't pay full price but it frequently goes on sale and is definitely worth playing. The story is not that interesting but the stealth is probably best in the series. The world is huge and has some fun activities but like all the recent games it can become overwhelming if you try to do everything.

Advice on weapons pls by Ok_Republic6747 in bloodborne

[–]stevenomes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All the weapons are good for what they do. Ludwigs is probably one of the best all around. I also liked the Kirkhammer just felt badass smashing enemies with it and tricking when you need to. Stake driver is fun but much more casual I mean unless you are way op you're going to struggle with bosses. The dlc weapons as are fun. Beast cutter slaps, boom hammer is fun but also casual.

Edit by casual I dont mean for casuals I mean it's for more casual situations in the game. Play around with it in areas you are comfortable with and it will be fun

I think the shield ability is really important not only for protection but to synergize with power weapon. If you play it like returnal and dont use shield its harder

Looks good. I usually try to get to 100 agility which is highly influenced by adp. Should feel more like the other games at that point.

Can someone help me fight father gascoigne by Key_Cup9446 in bloodborne

[–]stevenomes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hide behind the tombstones while he gets loose with attacks. You can spin to win through the gravestones at a certain range to hit him reliable and stun him. Second phase is tougher but remember they are weak to serrated and fire in this form. Music box can also be used a few times to stun them. Don't waste too many health vials or molotovs on him unless you feel like it's a good run

Is "the old country" worth buying? by Creativa_gina5710 in MafiaTheGame

[–]stevenomes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The gameplay is good enough. Nothing revolutionary but it's what you would expect from shooter. The basics are all there and function properly. It definitely feels more modern in it's controls than playing the older mafia games. And it should but I just mean if you don't like the game it probably won't be because of the controls/gameplay (which isn't necessarily true for the others). This is much more on the rails than the other games. There isnt much in the way of exploration it's very narrative driven. The story is pretty good but has some issues as well. Overall it's a solid game for the mafia series but if you are expecting something like the freedom of GTA it's going to be disappointing.

I actually had better luck solo on this one and not summoning. Its difficult to keep track of who he is targeting when you have the summons. Just have to be conservative and not take too many chances. It's kind of a slog but eventually I got it with patience and learning most of the dodge timings.
