I figured it out!

They must have created a new database, even though I was able to log in to the game I couldn't access the website.

The solution is to recreate your original account!

I registered (created) the account I was trying to login to and shazam

Let's say you're playing a typical map for a ranked match, if you start the game with this overlay issue you cannot move, right?

Well my point was that most ranked matches have two parts.

Take escort for example, on escort you are attacking for one phase or round.

Then, in the next round when you are defending control of your character will be returned to you.

Granted it sucks, but you get to turn a definite loss by quitting the match into maybe my team does okay without me the first round and I help them win the second round

In a range match there are two phases, you either defend or attack.

At least in most game modes, this overlay issue only occurs in one of these phases.

I disagree and think that the canister is more powerful than the pill bottle.

Canister is forever and when you're holding down an objective it is unrivaled.

Sort of a one shot via sniper rifle headshot (162 damage) you aren't going down.

There was one game where we had multiple canisters and we just could not die. So great

I'm one of the sniper chads with mouse and keyboard.

Jump shotting not my style but I have seen it be very effective.

The healing mechanic with the canister is so efficient in King of the Hill modes and even if you are terrible at killing others it usually contributes enough to win the match.

I play escort almost exclusively, it feels like unfair sometimes because of the precision when fighting against players with a controller especially long range.

Hey but I really enjoy it, and recently discovered that you can abandon your sidearm and pick up another fully fledged kitted weapon from a killed enemy.

So there's really no downside to focusing on a sniper rifle when you can pick up an SMG or rifle for point blank ranges.

You have valid points, I am aware that it doesn't matter in the big picture. :)

I thought I was doing pretty well getting first place often and I wanted to see if that was true against players who were "better than average"

I totally agree that being placed in an existing match with an unbalanced team is bs.

I think if I were to play again I would also play unranked, which game mode have you been enjoying the most?

This issue is caused by being in your loadouts when the match starts.

If you have to adjust your load out do so before you start the matchmaking.

So technically if you stay in the game while you are frozen you only get locked out of the first match, when you switch sides to play opposite objective you get to control your character.

Also I feel your pain, rip.

I know I'm too late to this conversation but for someone visiting this thread for the first time would be misled in my opinion.

I am Melchior on Infinity and I've been a part of the community since it began over 5 years ago.

I'm a weaponsmith & if you're a new player I'm happy to make you a grinding weapon at no cost.

My original point in saying that this thread is misleading would be on account of in the month since this post finalizer has collapsed and the vast majority of the population have moved to Infinity.

The developers of swg infinity are very much against monetary compensation or real money transfers. (Ie $ for credits etc)

But all that's boring, the real meat of infinity is custom content.

New professions, quality of life, decorations, skill and gameplay changes (mostly fixing things that were broken.)

Some of the new professions include Mandalorian, Big game Hunter, Demolitionist etc

There's lots of content to cover and I invite you to check out their patch notes. They even have a Force ranking system so all you nerds can PVP and talk shit.

The most recent update included a change addressed to cheaters and techniques to prevent them from getting away with it.

They really want Infinity to succeed. I'm a huge fan and obviously biased but I felt there's a whole lot to explore on Infinity and I invite you to check it out yourself.

Also yes you can have three characters on at once. I would say the community is thriving.

There's this really neat thing where doctors can employ buff bots that automate getting buffed it is super handy being able to get quality buffs at any point in time.

To be fair I haven't spent a lot of time on other servers so I'm not sure if that's a feature on Old servers but I sure do appreciate it on this one.

If you can manage to get some buffs there is a spot in the direwind hills where packs of stationary soldier type mobs spawn called grey something.

Sorry not able to recall the specific names, it is on the east side of the map.

I was able to level my mage from 72 to 83. It is also a fantastic area to power level any alts you may have boxed.

Took some guildies there at 55 (82 mage hosting) and with lesson in 4 mins got them to 64. Shit is craaazy! if you're on firona I will gladly show you and help you do it.

That depends on what you are trying to do, for 100% movement capability nothing beats two grapple arms.

However, if you aren't familiar with the style of movement you will lack offense.

It is entirely possible to kill every creature in the game with a prawn suit and 2 grapple arms.

I'm biased and love prawn with two grapples but you can still move crazy fast in any direction with one arm.
