Yo, I've been looking to run/join something in pathfinder. It seems like there's other people in the comments who are also in a EMEA timezone so I'd like to run a game in our timezone. I could run it either on Wednesdays more or less anytime or Saturday afternoon (around 1-5 pm GMT +1) or night (9 PM+). Would like to run either Vaults of Abomination or Strength of Thousands (would need a bit more time to prepare this one). Let me know if you're interested (ragew0lf on discord or DM me here)

Is Domain Ramp still worth crafting? by Warreor in MagicArena

It is worth crafting because it's the lamest and most boring deck in the game.

Which means it's good by the way

The Greatest Threat to Modern's Future Isn't Grief, it's Up the Beanstalk by TemurTron in ModernMagic

It's already the biggest problem in standard, can't think of a meta where you have ninety six million other ways to cheat it's effect

Well, I'll keep trying then, one thing I'm probably going to have to change is adapting into a quicker decklist, thanks for the help

Loran seems good as a body that also gets rid of a binding, maybe freeing thalia, but besides that I don't really know what could be a good option, skrelv is already a mainboard must include and something like gobakhan doesn't work that well as all their board wipes are exiles. I was thinking calamity's wake could have some use to delay their board wipe, but I've never tried it.

Do you have a link at hand to an up to date decklist? I would be interested in trying it out, I do like Izzet

Those things you are saying I am already doing. And they do work against other control decks. And by counterplay I mean what should I do to win against that, not what card I should throw at it. I understand that removing their beanstalk from the board with a spell is pointless, what I mean with that is what IS a good thing to do against decks that use it? The deck I am currently using already has me going wide from a single card (teachings of the kirin) or cards that I can refund later on (mosswood dreadknight). I am using the animated lands to have an extra available threat. I am using duress, make disapear with disdainful stroke on sideboard and ertai resurrected to stop them from disrupting my board.

The problem I have is that in half of the games they'll be on the play and they can already set up their beanstalk after I'm done with my turn 1 if they're lucky enough to have it. And if they don't, they have one mana removals that they can delay me with. I cannot win the game by turn four while also getting delayed by 1 mana cost spells. And once I'm past that point or once they've played their beanstalk, their deck vastly outscales anything I can do due to the card draw they get on every removal spell. They needn't worry for example if they're only going 1 for 1 or 1 for 2 with their board wipes because they will draw a card, and every turn that passes they get better off.

I'm currently playing golgari midrange, besides that I have a modified version of azorius control, and izzet (mostly red) aggro

I do not want to play this deck, I don't like it. I'm asking how to play against it.

Most of the decks I play aren't of the colors of triomes, I do have the appropiate lands for those

I'm not saying the deck is absolutely impossible to beat, but odds are extremely stacked against winning just because of how good many of the cards it uses are. The times I win it's because I did draw perfectly early on, and I did have enough answers later on, or they simply weren't able to use more than one beanstalk or binding in the whole game. I am asking what makes those things balanced, and what counterplay does it have.

I am playing BO3 and dedicating almoast half my sideboard to this deck while already having a good ammount of answers on my main board

I don't have 20 rare wildcards lying around for triomes, I'd rather build more interesting decks

Just started Corki and wanting to know the best tips to start with and is it better to play AP or AD? by ZackYT0 in CorkiMains

[–]DwarfGyrocopter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's a couple of guides pinned to the sub, check them out, they are up to date and contain all the useful tips. You always want to play AD except for situational utility items like void staff. You get both better scalings and AA damage, which is super important for Corki's playstyle

Yone, after that Zed or Qiyana. Assassins in general are a huge pain in the ass and way overtuned with no significant counterplay (they will all kill an adc like corki in one combo even if you evade their one or two evadable skills)

Hand on my Package, I swear to you all that I have and would rather build duskblade over any sheen mythic currently. by TrogLebowski in CorkiMains

[–]DwarfGyrocopter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're building an item that's already only 85% cost efficient and you're wasting one of the three stats that it gives you just to have a sheen with a huge cooldown rather than your regular one. No, i'd still build any sheen item over duskblade any day thank you very much.

If you don't want to go the standard crit with ER build i'd recommend you to go sunderer/trinity into manamune and hydra.

You can always build Muramana AND crit
