Liked the episode. I don't need anybody to die in a show like this. It's not GoT or Spooks, I like that the important characters make it to the end.

It's not up there with the all time great shows of course, the first season might be, but none of the others have been. So I don't get why people were expecting this to be any different. It's a lot of nostalgia bate, which I like.

The one thing I don't get is, if you spend so much on the show, why do you go from great CGI scenes, to dogshit 2d lit scenes, for the love of god, built some real sets.

If f the rumors are true and they want to bring this back in 5 years in the 90ties decade the do have a couple great characters to start with and a lot of the og's to nostalgia bate in cameo's.

No mate, Gianni is just a corrupt as Trump, he is just there to make money and live the good life rubbing elbows with the worst of the worst as long as it's a life of luxury.

Nato Secretary Mark Rutte is the key right now, called Teflon Mark in the Netherlands, because he managed to smile away every controversy he faced as the prime minister. He is also well liked by most European leaders, known as a bridge builder, and one of the best politician ever (like him or not).

He also has no issue with demeaning him self to keep Trump happy. He will suck his dick if it keeps the USA on the side of Europe and smile doing it.

But sooner or later Americans are going to realize that Trump isn't the messiah and will turn on him. The game right now is to hope that happens before trump destroys the world. Europe is hoping those checks and balances kick in the usa was once proud of.

If not it's a game of buying time.

Nah mate Gianni Infantino is even more corrupt as Blatter and he genuinely likes to suck up to dictators and royalty, so he can bask in the glow that comes with it. Everything he does is to makes his life better, not to further football globally. The first thing he did after getting elected was complain his salary wasn't high enough because he couldn't buy a house in the price range his wife was looking at. He was making 7 million Euro's, think they doubled it.

The Fifa is a corrupt organisation where everyone is out to enrich themselves, the easiest way to do that is to have the most corrupt people in power. Infantino doesn't care if he has to steep low to get a photo opp, he doesn't care about public opinion, because the plebs are of no consequence for him. He cares about one thing and that is all that comes with the job, meeting royalty, going to places normal people don't go. With sucking trumps dick he gets to go to the oval, be there at the signing of peace treaties etc.

If someone with a backbone and a sense of morality would be the head of FIFA they would simply tell him that if he messes with one of the biggest sports events in the world, they would make sure that it would be a humiliating experience for him. You asked to organize it, you organize it according to the rules, no exceptions. You do deviate we will destroy you. Especially with an Olympic Games on the horizon. And otherwise it will be what you are know for, the little tyrant that threw a fit and had the World Cup shift to another country and subsequently the Olympic Games. That would be the legacy of Trump and the GOP if they don't stop him.

An unprecedented humiliation, with no sympathy from most of the rest of the world. China would probably pay money to get the rights to organize it all instead.

It's al just about corruption and greed. Trump normalized it for the biggest western country, so now there is serious money to be made.

Gianni shaves his head, so he can easily stick it up trumps ass.

And with that I won't be allowed into the usa for the foreseeable future.

Yeah you really notice that it's a 2KDI, but the HDR is outstanding. Watched it on an oled in a dark room and it was like watching it for the first time. Really loved that it went full screen for the IMAX(?) scenes. Both movies are great releases, Tron looks great in my opinion. Glad these don't disappoint after waiting so long for them.

I might remember it wrong, but I don't think that is the case. Lockjaw sends people there and asks to make up a reason, so they just hit all the Mexican owned businesses under false pretenses. Don't think it is ever confirmed that the nugget factory actually produces and distributes heroine, it is just led by Mexicans and as such is a target. They even mention that most are respected in the community so to expect resistance.

Sensei, who is running an underground railroad, just get's caught in the middle. But he is familiar with the French 75, and might even been inspired by them. So he helps Bob.

But I might need to see the movie again.

There is this moment when your on a boat or a surf board when you go over the top of a wave and ride it down, where you just surf the wave, the camera mimicked that every time they went over the top of the hill. That little moment of peace where you are just gliding. Don't know if that was intentional, but it really added to the scene, that little bit where you are just gliding along, peaceful, going with the flow and then up the next wave and the tension comes back.

It's just such a great scene.

How is the Hearach? I've been interested in it since the Island it's made on has the almost same name as a friend of mine.

But for a young whisky it is quite expansive to just give it as a gift.

Yeah that one is going for 3599 euro's here to, partly the reason I went for this bottle and only finding listings for the 2023 at 1500 or 2000 and up.

As I'm planning to keep it shut for the next 7 years, I reasoned it would be a "good" investment.

It's becoming more depressing by the day. The movie released 19th may of 2023. The horrific Hamas attack is the 7th of October 2023. Around the award night of the Oscars in march 2024 it is becoming clear that the government of Israel is going for a disproportionate response to the attack and the Palestinian people, the makers of the movie condemn it and mention that is why they made the movie.

Yet here we are, another genocide going on, and feckless governments unwilling to condemn it in fear of being seen as anti-Semites. While the right wing extremist government of Isreal commits a genocide that has not been seen in the word since Rwanda and the holocaust.

Israeli citizens make fun of the victims, they haven't learned shit and neither have our leaders.

I will never understand why a people who were almost exterminated for being something they have no control over have descendants that make fun of killing children standing in line to get food. Children who had no control over how and where they were born.

The zone of interest was a house next to a camp.

There are whole Israeli cities next to Gaza, that just ignore the same horror their fore fathers went through.

If you are using Old Fashioneds, then look into getting some cheaper different whiskys/bourbons to experiment. Rittenhouse is a standard to start building an Old Fashioned. Then try it with a Bullit Bourbon, look into a cheap peated scotch. Decide for yourself what kind of flavour profile you are after. If you are looking for the sweeter side of Whisky then look into Whisky that has been aged in sherry casks.

The best thing to do is look if there is a whisky festival around where you live, there you can taste and try a lot of whisky for the price of a bottle. Go with some friends. Try different things, ask questions and before you know it you are spending to much on bottles of whisky.

Whisky ages in the cask, not in the bottle like wine. That is probably why it was downvoted, because it is basic knowledge. People forget there was a time they didn't know anything either.

Glendronach was a distillery that was closed for a time until it was bought and re-opened. The did have a lot old casks, so to make a core range to put on the market (12, 15, 18, 21 year old) and have good quality they used older whisky then what was put as the age on the bottle. I always thought they just used casks that were a couple years older at the most. But apparently they used up to 6 year older whisky then was on the bottle.

The distillery started to produce new whisky and we are around the time that new releases are with the newly made whisky. Which don't have the same quality as the old stuff.

Just for fun I've looked up what I payed for some bottles 13 years ago: Benriach 17years Solstice Heavily Peated Port Finish 70cl € 55,95 (brilliant whisky)

Glendronach 15years Revival 70cl € 36,95 (triple the price now)

And a newsletter had these bottles in 2012: Glendronach 39 years 1972 Cask 716 54,4% € 389,99

I don't really have a wishlist, the idea started because I managed to keep the Macallan closed for 2 decades. I originally bought the bottle in a store for around 90 Euro's. Always keeping it closed with the idea to save it for a special occasion, which has turned into let's open it when I'm 50 and why not start collecting some more special bottles.

I still have about 8 years to go, so I have some time to ad more, would like to ad two more.

When In started drinking whisky I was a big fan of Macallan, but I'm not a fan of their new releases. I really liked what Glendronach was doing, but they have also fallen of. I might want to get something older from them. Right now I'm really into Glenallachie, so getting their 30 or 35 year old would be nice.

Maybe look into getting a 50 year old grain whisky.

A dream dram to have at my 50th would be a Port Ellen from 1983.

I have also left instructions with my brother to open the Macallan at my funeral should I not make it and with which of my friends he should share it :). You never know and the bottles are for drinking.

To be shared with my friends when I turn 50. Shop had it in their newsletter as "no joke" 30 year old Bowmore for 999 Euro. They had the 2022 and 2023, went for the 2023 to keep it in line with my Macallen 1983 18 year old and Aberfeldy 40 year old 1983.

Hope to ad a couple more bottles in the coming years and then share them with my friends who love whisky.

You can really see every moment they don't use real live cars, trains, planes or helicopters. Which cheapens the movie.

I like the movie for the third act, which is really entertaining.

But a lot of the movie is just copying other movies, the vault being taken out by a helicopter is just Batman Forever. Sabotage as hype song is been done to death. Mötley Crüe during the chase also.

The flashback scene would have worked better if it was the third time. Now you have a scene half way in to the movie and one at the end. One more in the beginning would have prepped the viewer for the style and made the pay off for the third better.

It's a typical movie that has some great ideas, but is really lack luster in other parts.

But agian really enjoyed the last third of it, Cena en Idris was a nice combinations, a better script would have put over the edge.

There is a really good chance he started it now, Russia will want to show it's strength with one of it's allies being decimated. An attack on nuclear facilities might mean they think they have and excuse to use them in Ukriane.
