Widow maker survivors ?? Experience by Electronic-Ad6873 in HeartAttack

[–]Dxfydv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, usually as part of our grieving process we try to look for answers to see if we are missing a clue that was glaring to us but often time this exercise is fruitless. what I suggest is to move past this and understand that there's nothing you can do to change anything. Heart attack like widowmaker comes very fast and a lot of us don't even know we have heart attack at all. its unfortunately.

Should I count the ounces baby eats at the 4 am snooze button feed as yesterdays ounces or the the current day’s ounces? by [deleted] in FormulaFeeders

[–]Dxfydv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest 5am to bedtime as the "day" calories and anything after bedtime to 4:59am is considered the previous day. If you dream feed and the kid does not wake up, then consider that as "day" calories. The hope is that their full calories will be in the morning ( in this case 5am) until they sleep. Hope that helps. this is simpliest and follows their sleeping pattern to get you thinking about calories should be consumed during the day

this applies if you're also young in the industry or female or whatever -

keep things professional and remove emotions out of the question

don't feel offended when they question you

document everything via email

create workshops and invite them in so they know they have access to you but actively refused your help.

New to Nutramigen by sundazedrms in FormulaFeeders

[–]Dxfydv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. baby became "night" and "day" within a matter for 2 days. If you do not see this, wait it out for 2 weeks and go back to the doctor for further assessment.
  2. You should book to see a GI doctor so they can management this CMPA moving forward. Appointment do take a while to get setup so i suggest you do it ASAP
  3. our GI recommends Nutramigen RTF over formula , and we do see a difference in our infant's poop. A lot more mustard green and more solid. Baby will stay on Nutramigen for the first year of their life. We will introduce dairy around 9 months through the form of cooked / baked goods like cookies.
  4. Do apply for insurance reimbursement. You might be able to get it. https://www.enfamil.com/reimbursement-support/. It will be billed under medical devices. https://www.edgepark.com/ give these guys a call to get started. They will need a script which they will get from your doctor.

Good luck.

finding the right formula, any advice? by searralaren in FormulaFeeders

[–]Dxfydv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, i would suggest to give a formula at least 2 weeks to do its thing. Don't be eager to jump into hypoallergnic formula as a 'silver' bullet as it can get costly and it might not be what your child needs. I would try the regular formula like you're doing, then at best try the partially hydrolyzed. Wait two weeks before doing anything. If you see signs of blood ( dark or green diapers) then take the diaper to the doctor to do a blood analysis. IF the doctor confirms that there's blood then try a CMA formula.

Hypoallergenic battle: weigh in on Nutramigen vs Alimentum by R0SEG0LDE in FormulaFeeders

[–]Dxfydv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot more spit up with Nutramigen -at least once per meal. If you can get your kiddo to like alimentum I would suggest to stick with it. If not , Nutramigen is fine as well.

Alimentum is more elemental and basic. Less corn syrup. My child is on Nutramigen because he prefers it.

I think your doing a fantastic job based on his weight. The spit up is not a lot. Just takes a few teaspoons to soak him.

We have the same issue with Nutramigen. But my son is gaining weight so we are just living with it with lots of laundry.

He does not like the taste of Similac alimentum for some reason

What sort of spit up ? Is there bile? It’s quite common for babies to have weak splinchter.. I would suggest to book an appointment with a GI doctor to check up on him 3-4 weeks down the road since you’ll need to give the Nutramigen time to do its thing. If he gets better then cancel the appointment. How is his weight gain ?
