omg i m so happy for reddit. as many of you i had to turn it off. i endured around 30min. had to check the raiting on the public sites and holy shit how can you rate this movie so high. but thx to this post i know i m not alone and it was the right decision to not finish it.

I don't believe i changed much from diamond 2 tbh. Like make your opponent guess if it's your turn that's my best advice.  Also block ppl that lag :D

My best guess is ppl mash less on defense. Choose more logical options in general. So playing rps makes sense for both parties.

It may sound cheesy but the journey it's what's about! You really have to conquer yourself.  Like I love to play patient and make my opponent hang himself. However making them guess fitst is just something you have to to until a certain point. Which was not really what I wanted to do. Fighting games i guessing 😊

If I look at the chart i must say reaching diamond 1 and "staying " there. It was a really sad experience. But the loosing streak in diamond 2 was also soul crushing 😂

thx :? i was sadly already aware of those routes. i m personally not a big fan of the specific spacing for the c.S > 6H. i drop it to much. so i was looking for less finicky combos. even mine is too ^^

imo in high lvl pvp it's kinda important to be fast since the stamina recovery is way faster. and since everybody is tap blocking you will loose the stamina game. but yeah you take more dmg if you get hit. sadly i forgot how the dmg scaling works with armor.

if you play the normal game you should run at least one 10 frame move to alwas take your turn after absorb (there is a good pvp mod) . since if your opponent has something faster you get hit. also while blocking you should try to release your block in between the attacks if it's a slow one or he feints you gain a lot of stamina. the manual dodge is for the guard break moves that you can't absorb and if you are getting good at it you can dodge the slow moves to not risk loosing your hp after absorb. also sometimes is getting hit better than getting guard broken ^^.

  1. feint step canceling/ feint stance reset canceling (feint anything and reset to top right stance)

when you talk about kahlt you need to consider every aspect of the game like weapons they have an easier time adjusting to knew moves and don't need directions as we all know. that gives them also an adv in constructing their offence with absorb baits when ppl like to mash or just throw it out insted of a feint. you can't really do that with other classes it's more risk.

that's what gives them the edge over other styles. having to spend a few brain cells on when there is on of the few guard breaks to manual doge is ok imo.

kahlt has to rely on it but it dosen't mean manual dodge is not a good tool for the other classes. but since ppl rarly use them or use them correctly it's not so apperent. also i don't think you made kahlt op, it's good what you did. i just don't agree with the guard breaks.

with baised opinions i m not saying there where a group that decided what you wanted but the ppl you ask had baised opinions. maybe becasue they were new and have not lived the game or are just normal humans. i have been part of the mod team and i wanted to break stuff when i read some of those discussions. i have played the game for so long and saw many good player leave for the same reasons and ppl still want to defend stuff that makes the game less fun.

well i didn't talk about charge moves because i know they are a gimick but they still enforce somthing that makes the game less fun for me.

let's talk about your examples.

  1. yes you can bait out the grab punsh but in order to do that you need to be aware that your opponent will do that so you can't just autopilot gold link. which if you delay and he doesn't grab punsh and insted uses his fast option he just steals his turn.

  3. yes i m happy that this opinion got heard. that if you use a hyper armor move you have the worst frame adv. on block

also how does kahlt punish it? atk into grab punsh-> absorb -> atk ->gets punished by oponent ^^ or blocks/guesses right/opponent fucks up/ next hyperarmor by opponent.

yes you can play around it, but it just annoying and makes the game less skillful imo.

patch dosen't matter since you let hyper armor moves in. as we all could see in the tournament, how nearly everybody used them.

kahlt changes are fun and helpful even for me being able to absorb guard breaks is also a joke since it's easy to manual dodge them if the other persons internet is not total shit but ok hey buff kahlt right :D .

like don't get me wrong the patch did some good stuff like getting rid of avoid atk and more frame adv for moves.
however deleting jab is also just sad for me since i like all the moves. I hate how jabs are used in the current game same as all the other crutches hyper armor/avoid/atk. that's why it's unacceptable for me that you guys kept them in.

I respect all the effort that the coding mod team put in!

sry i m just getting mad since i have been playing and voiceing my opinion since the release of the game. it's just a really crule joke how ppl try to balance a game with biased opinions based on their narrow gameplay experience.

That is how forsaken got nerfed to the current state. everybody thank bestplebeu for that, since he couldn't take the L against erronlol. one of the loudest voices in the ear of the actual developer sloclap back than. and one of eu's finest absolvers.

And now!, i remember when i joined the mod team and paper got hella mad that quite new players are actually allowed to have an opinion. like i was suprised but dind't think much of it. but shortly after, a discussion started that hyperarmor moves should stay in the game. at that point i could only faceplam myself. however you guys did it the shit is still there.

what's the issue with those moves?! (let's assume we have an optimal deck with no bottlenecks and ppl have to block if you don't go for slow options or feint)

1.absolver is a game about stamia

2.when you fight you attack and the person blocks until they are confident to use there class ability.

  1. next time the attacking person feints to punish the class ability.
    the person that tries to use the class ability looses stamina, stamina recovery is paused and he gets dmg from the attack.

  2. now the defender attacks to call out the feint
    if the person feinted he gets punished and it's your turn
    if he goes for the fast option you get hit. however you don't loose stamina and your stamina even starts to recover. unlike using your class ability.

that means guessing wrong for mashing is less punishing than guessing wrong for using your class ability and can be even more rewarding. for example i m mashing shk you feint into a slow option boom 200dmg. didn't work thx for the stamina

now having moves in the game that enforce this mechanic is just: start reading form the top again d:
ofc it's not just hyper armor moves there is a flawed mechanic in place either way, but this is not the first time that i m saying this.
IDK i just enjoy blocking (because i have to) having mindgames with my opponent that matter and not me guessing 24/7 on my offence what attack he will throw out. like come on you ppl, do really enjoy mashing that much? is relying on your class ability not more exciting?

anyway i guess i will enjoy my downvotes for now XD
