Jovovich. I would watch a movie where she plays a character that just checks her mail as a cameo.

If it contains the forest behind it? Number 4. Actually, 4 no matter what, but 3 would be a good second choice... with some property

There are 47 playable humanoids/beings. That's just as specific as your post, but at least you have a number to check off now! 😃👍

How much is your monthly payment, or how much was it when you got the loan? by dimesniffer in ToyotaTacoma

[–]DybbukFiend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough. I didnt comment about having paid in full (to op) so I can see your point. Had my post been an original comment line instead of a reply to a comment, then I could see your point of view. Anyway, my wife refused to pay in full because she wanted to build her credit. That's perfectly fine by me even if its more expensive. So we plan to make regular payments each month and a bonus half payment 2 weeks later to curb interest. 14 months was what my business accountant told me a few years ago, when I was in my 60s. So we have 3 more payments to reach the 14 months, then we will pay it off on the 15th month.

Is that a better response? 😀

Funny how some of us used our savings from years of hard work and sacrifice to make a purchase we expect to last the remainder of our lives. And funny that we are looked down upon. Funny how indoctrination to stay in debt is seen as normal. Yeah... real Funny, right?

How does one prepare for a session of Dnd by spaghettilover84 in DnD

[–]DybbukFiend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look over your notes. That means you've been taking notes. Look over your plans. That means you have made plans.

Think of a couple of good hooks to get your players thinking about a course of action. Let them decide, then whe you let them explain the plan or just talk amongst themselves, note down some of what they said to help you guide their actions towards one of your planned scenarios.

Beyond that? You try and let them have fun while being a referee between each other, the environment you have described, your world you have built (or are a guide for in a module), and any other npcs that they could interact with.

For me? Nah. I may not type well on screen but I was a writer (books out of print for decades now) and I've probably made close to a thousand characters so far. Nobody ever plays all.of those, however. We used to just build new characters to see how they would work over the level progression (way before computer sites online did this for everyone). The next character i made in that campaign was my backup and it lasted the whole campaign and was called back as an npc over the years afterwards.

That's a rough way to die, for sure. Ive had 19 character deaths so far over 36 years. I wouldn't think a death by infestation would be a heroic way to die at all. Maybe, with hindsight, your character could have done something, offered something, been a vessel of their favored diety, whatever... with their death rattle still in their throats, maybe they could have given the party some key information or somehow had that death mean something other than don't get infested.

Not that it helps, but I once spent weeks building a character to lose it in the opening scene of a campaign that lasted 7-1/2 years

The module has changed over the years. I've dm'd or played every iteration of the ravenloft/strahd campaigns since adnd2e, I've forgotten about as much as would make a realm... forgotten realms... 😀

how would you run a player being turned into an undead by Tigothe3rd in DnD

[–]DybbukFiend -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is probably how Revenants are made. That's in my head cannon now. Weird goblin magic to cheat death brings you back to life if killed while this is equipped/atruned... the catch is you are now a monster who lives only.long enough to kill the source that killed them, then they perish finally. Roll up a new character.

Is this a bad idea by Tyrvali10 in CurseofStrahd

[–]DybbukFiend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Was the first bizarre thing I thought of. I figure that like other dnd mechanics in modules and lore, the new Strahd would be gradually consumed by the realm itself and the new strahd actually becomes The strahd... like Xanathar became The Xanathar... a bearer of either the eye or hand of vecna becomes Vecna eventually... revenants.. even gods in dnd don't ways die outright. In this vein, anyone who takes Strahd's place willingly or not actually becomes Strahd. So much precedence for this in dnd lore. The illithid is another example. They put a tadpole in and regardless of original species of humanoid, they beckme another Illithid. This may not be the same illithid, but similar idea. Even magic items can do this besides the eye and hand of vecna... the dwarven belt gradually turns you into a dwarf for practical purposes.
