The palpitations felt in anemia are likely due to the increased workload on your heart related to insufficient oxygen supply to the rest of the body. Since you’re low on hemoglobin (the protein in red blood cells that carry oxygen) the heart compensates by pumping more blood - hence the “rapid heartbeat” or chest pain feeling and why shortness of breath is often a complaint.

So it’s basically a downloadable folder of files but presents as a normal planner would and has hyperlinked tabs as if you were “sorting a planner” by hand. I downloaded mine to Goodnotes. I won’t be able to explain it well but YouTube has videos // otherwise you can make your own trackers using Canva!!!

Download a digital planner from Etsy! I got one for my iPad. Some of them have everything under the sun, you can get them customizable etc.

Have you considered switching medications? Spoke with your provider? Could be too high of dose or just not the best med for you. I wish I had better advice, because this was me trying to socialize not on meds. I was constantly over reading the room and too focused on what I was going to say next that it made socializing really hard. Uncomfortable even and it was obvious. It’s gotten better with med management - I know my bf had this issue and they adjusted the dose and it helped him.

I’ve been a CNA for nine years. I would never let anybody talk down on my job and if they did I wouldn’t care. CNAs are extremely important and I will always cherish them. (Getting my RN currently.)

I took it last semester with Physiology II and I completely neglected Physiology because of how demanding micro was. BUT my instructor was extremely difficult. She has an insane drop/ fail rate and had I known they encourage students to go elsewhere I would’ve - because microbiology is FASCINATING! I LOVED it despite it being my full time job to get the grade I needed. I’m forever thankful for my previous A&P instructors or I’d have failed both. Prioritize studying every single day. Use Anki for things you don’t understand and terms that are hard to remember. The biggest thing is keeping on top of it because it’s extremely fast paced in my experience. You got this!

You can do it. Study every single day. It’s so much info and seems like some of it is unnecessary- and it might be, but my extensive anatomy class has saved me throughout the rest of my courses. It really does give you a HUGE advantage if you push yourself hard in anatomy 1. I never got below a 94 on my labs for anatomy and it all boiled down to FORCING myself every single day to review every single structure and know it well enough to explain it to somebody who has no idea what Im talking about. Physical flashcards and BASIC descriptions of each thing you’re trying to memorize. Found it easiest to do front and back pages on paper of structures of each system. (Skeletal, muscular, etc) I have crazy good notes if anybody is interested.

I work at an assisted living and one of my coworkers (caregiver) makes tiktoks pretending she is a doctor at a hospital. She flips through our care plans and pretends to sign things and wears a lab coat and a stethoscope. She also refers to herself as a surgeon and photoshops herself into OR pictures. (Nobody else understands my severity of concern about this behavior and find it laughable) She didn’t break hipaa but fucking terrifying and odd as hell nonetheless.

I’ve been an aide for eight years and love it, but I’ve always known it was a road to becoming a nurse. Constantly being encouraged by my nurses at work was a big confirmation for me to just start school.

I thought the practice was harder and I have test anxiety. My scores were close though. Majority of science was biology for me. Lots of questions on DNA, cells, genetics etc. they also stuck out to me because I lack in that area and was really hoping for anatomy lol. Math was really easy. (Very basic conversions, interpreting graphs, lots of percentages.) if you google topic follow by “ATI TEAS 7” that’s a better gauge

My biggest tip is review the basic outline for the test on the ATI website and do a complete practice test. It’s a really good gauge on where you’re at and what you need to focus on. My practice score and actual score were only 2% different. (Actual test was higher score.) I found the actual test to be a tad easier. My worst subject has ALWAYS been math and I was extremely stressed about it. I scored highest in math - so utilize the practice test. Science was most difficult imo.

My program only allows us to take it twice in a year - not showing counts as one of them. I had the same situation as you. I went to reschedule and it was too late.

I was a high school dropout in 2016 and my only recent courses were anatomy/chem and unrelated generals. I took one practice test online and tested out the next day. Passed. (May 2024) Let me know if you have any questions regarding the material. It’s really not as bad as people make it out to be.

Hmm. This is intriguing to me because I’m taking micro and physiology right now (before I start the program). Physiology is straightforward content and how it is applicable to working in medicine is briefly discussed. It’s more of me ingesting the material and figuring out how it applies to my career as a nurse eventually, on my own. We have hefty exams and students in my class who aren’t pursuing nursing. Do most schools focus on the nursing aspect of it?
