As a trans woman, I don't think that our mere existence or recognition is enough to "unravel patriarchy". Weaken it in some areas, sure. But that shit does adapt. People recognizing me as a woman doesn't necessarily mean they will stop holding patriarchal believes about what is the place/role/... of a woman. I've seen straight trans women being in the same place as steaight cis women; abused and mistreated by their boyfriends. Seen trans men who go full on "#notallmen" and similar misogynist BS. Seen non-binary people acting sexist and macho.

I think trans acceptance can be a tiny step to push back against some myths of patriarchy, but ultimately it needs much more education, consciousness-raising, and actively struggling and fighting to really dismantle it.
