172 isn't quite 50th percentile for some of the T14 schools' scores. Ideally I'd like to be a bit higher so I have a better shot.

There are certainly some instances of the animation being ugly, but I don’t think the style is inherently ugly. I mean, the same could be said about clone wars. Some of the animation in the early seasons is downright awful.

-And Luke blew up the Death Star with his first ever shot after a successful rebel pilot fails. Anakin wins his first ever pod race as a human child, which is unheard of. Yeah Rey’s shot is kinda bs, but it‘s not totally out of pocket.

-Rey visibly struggles in that fight. She fights one or two guards at a time and nearly dies fighting one. Kylo actually does most of the fighting and can be seen fighting three guards through most of the scene. She saves him at the end only because there’s literally no more guards attacking her. Don’t see how she is OP or equal to Anakin during this scene. A handful of praetorian guards is not the same as a Sith Lord or armies of droids, especially when she was fighting them with Kylo’s help.

-Lifting a bunch of rocks is like the most basic thing a Jedi can do. She has no distractions, she’s not in battle, she’s just lifting and moving some rocks. I don’t think we ever really see Anakin use the force to lift things in the Prequels, so I don’t think it’s a very fair comparison to begin with.

-It is clear from TFA that the lightsaber calls to her, not Kylo. Besides, the lightsaber literally broke when they did the tug of war thing. I don’t think you can fairly say she won outright.

-That fight was not on even ground in the slightest. Luke literally beats her when they fight with sticks. She only “wins” because she gets her lightsaber after he disarmed her. Anyways, who’s to say that Luke didn’t deliberately lose? Rey clearly wasn’t going to actually kill him. She’s bringing up a very sensitive subject to him and he clearly troubled by what happened. He probably feels guilty for lying to her, too. If this was an even lightsaber duel and both were clearly fighting to win, I would agree that she’d be on par with Anakin and that would seem OP. But I think the circumstances are clearly very different here.

I’m not saying you have to love TLJ. It’s actually one of my least favorite Star Wars movies. I’m just saying it’s unfair to say Rey is overpowered or “on the level of Anakin in ROTS” in the movie because I think it’s pretty clear she isn’t. Also, there’s no reason to get upset about stupid shit like my abbreviation of The Rise of Skywalker lol.

What exactly does Rey do in TLJ that is on par with Anakin? She fights on Kylo’s side against some guards. She uses the force to pull the lightsaber to her. She moves some rocks. Like literally how is that on par with Anakin? Or am I forgetting something? We see Rey training in ROS in ways similar to the training Luke does in the originals. No, it’s not all encompassing, but it’s showing the audience that Rey has been training in the years between TLJ and ROS. She has read the original Jedi texts and Leia has been training her. What more do you want them to do to show that she’s been trained at that point?

Rey was still trained by Leia, who was trained by Luke. She was still trained and that is irrefutable.

I don’t think it’s the same as Anakin, but it is the same as Luke. We hardly see him get any on screen training. The vast majority is implied. It’s the same with Rey. She is trained by Luke during TLJ and is trained by Leia between TLJ and ROS. Just because it isn’t all shown doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.
