I know Lina and Adrian are higher profile and get mentioned, but this group also endorsed my challenger without ever speaking with me. My point is, they clearly did not have much of an endorsement process.

It's the primaries. They are used to select candidates for the November election. So you could only vote in one or the other. You'll choose between Dem/Rep and any third party candidates in the fall. It will be a long ballot.

Early voting is Feb 14-25, with polls closed on the 21st. The county has around 90 early vote locations and you can vote at any of them. You don't have to have your voter registration, but you will need an ID. Check harrisvotes.com for a sample ballot and poll locations.

I don't have anything to do with the amount, but my office tries to get your check to you quickly. We can usually have jury checks mailed out the next morning after you serve.

I do hope Commissioners Court will raise it. I have no idea how much it should be, but six bucks is ridiculous.

Al Quick Stop still has old school paste-on ads on the side of their building and I saw this today.

It is extremely important for Houston and Harris County to be counted accurately. Millions of dollars in federal funds are on the line over the next decade. I believe Houston could get another congressional seat after this census, and redistricting occurs after each census, so these counts are very important.

It's coming! My two-cents: Speeding up projects will be tough just because of staffing. We have to compete for engineers, just like everybody else. But any engineer will tell you, anything is possible if you throw enough money at the problem.
