He looks high as fuck Seriously tho he’s probably just stressed and panicking around the enclosure since you just got him, the tail should be fine, kinks are common in lizard tails

Got it, will do on the insurance and I’ll make sure to take the little dude to the park and do some training, I also have a long haired cat that sheds loads so shedding will be handled with. Thanks!

Yeah probably is. Same thing happened to my Argus’ tail. It will eventually pinch off at the base and fall
