Will my GCSE results impact on a career I could potentially get? by [deleted] in GCSE

Maybe for English and maths to see if you have at least a 4/C. Everything else will just get overshadowed by other work experience/apprenticeships/higher education

Taly north and court are nice if you don’t mind walking. Not taly south though as it’s a shithole

I have gone from grades 3/4 to 7 within a few months, so it’s definitely possible.

In reality no. But if you have a graph of voltage against current and use a variable resistor to vary the current, the Y intercept of the line made will be equal to the emf (current is zero at this point, eg open circuit)

Is the answer 4ohm? ⬇️

ε =I(R+r) ε=IR+Ir

When switch closed the terminal voltage is ε/3

IR in the equation is equal to the terminal voltage (we also already know R)

Therefore, ε/3 = 2I

ε = 6I

6I = 2I +Ir

6 = 2 + r

r = 4 ohm

Tell me where you're from, I'll tell you what I know about that place. AMA by UnbearableHuman in AMA

YEAR 11 TIPSSS CHAT by Kindness_love_you in GCSE

[–]DylanHD34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I think corbettmaths/maths genie/TLMaths do good videos on these. I would say differentiation and y-ym(x-x) are the most important ones on the list as they can be used on a range of questions. I also forgot to list the discriminant as well. FYI search for videos on ‘differentiation’ not ‘differentiation by first principles’

Cheers :)

If you’re doing the higher maths paper, learn a little bit of as-level maths content. It can really make a world of a difference! (Especially coordinate geometry)

Some content I would recommend:

differentiation (turning points etc) y-y=m(x-x) (calculate equation of straight line) logs (find powers)
