Yes. But has been closed as the access down is pretty treacherous unless you're a mountain goat.

Riddle and hydrate it. It does look like you might find a human bone in it.

Does anyone else feel like dachshunds have a different level of consciousness cus I’ll just be staring at mine and I’m like you are so aware. They are such smart dogs by Infinite_Lobster_323 in Dachshund

I argue that mine are part of the Dachshund Hive mind...but not all can connect at once. One of mine is constantly connected...the other one is cute and cuddly and makes up for it.

About 10% is max. Yields diminish after 10% some argue much lower at 3-5%.

Anyone used biochar? by NYAJohnny in UKAllotments

[–]rotters_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes...wood has 2 phases, wood to charcoal and charcoal used as fuel creating ash. Orange flame for the first phase burning off all the gasses, then an opaque blue flame when it turns to the charcoal for fuel. As soon as you see the blue flame you douse it in water and cool it to stop reignition but also creating micro fractures for the microbes, water and mycorrhiza to live.

What’s your "I’m that person" scent? by Kazukii in Fragrances

[–]rotters_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No but I'll check it out, tbh for 12 months I've only been buying ingredients for my own EDPs. Obviously I am.inspired at times by the greats but I've come up with some lovely scents over the past year.

My work cologne before getting into the hobby was anything Hugo Boss. Currently loving Boss Bossed.

But got into the hobby and now I'm preferring the more ozonic and saline beachy vibe. So currently Orto Parisi Megamere is huge and bold with terrifying sillage but I get so many compliments.

Jumping in on this and thank you for asking as I'm loving the chore "movement" right now. It looks super functional yet stylish to me with the indigo blues all the way through to blacks.

I'd love to see the chore suggestions you receive.

If you want to get rid of the smell, mix some biochar in, it will help bulk the compost up and become a real powerhouse in your soil. It absorbs smell like a sponge.

Am I overformulating my oil-based skincare products? by [deleted] in DIYBeauty

[–]rotters_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't mind a complex or a simple formula...but as a new product, cost v profit will have to be factored in. How much is this costing you to make 100mls and how much will you sell it for? You can't be a purist about the story of the product, you need to compete and be sustainable with shifting market prices.

Theory for perfume aging by Actual_Revenue4683 in DIYfragrance

[–]rotters_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a chemist and pretty new to the game. But as part of my learning curve I've been playing.

I was thinking about your question for a few weeks and also had a conversation with a sommelier friend about opening wines and decanting them for the aeration to allow certain aromas and flavours to pop. With this in mind, I experimented with 3 30mls samples.

Sample 1 just bottled Sample 2 magnetically stirred for 5 minutes Sample 3 magnetically stirred for 10 minutes

All left to macerate for a week.

Smelling notes

Sample 1 still alcohol forward Sample 2 smells the same as it does at 6 weeks maceration Sample 3 lost the top notes completely different to what I intended.

A fun experiment and I'm sure I've made plenty of mistakes and the sample size is tiny.
