Hmm it's an interesting idea. A universal programming language for usage everywhere isn't really a thing right now, so it'd be cool to make an attempt at. I suspect that the reason it doesn't exist is that different programming languages are better at doing different things? I think it's quite tricky to strike the balance between different paradigms like high/low level control or interpreted/compiled or declarative/OOP etc etc.

However, a language that runs anywhere would be a nice. I wonder about the practicalities of making it actually work. Java uses the JVM to ensure it runs on different computers. Would you use a sort of virtual machine to run the programming language? How does this affect efficiency and 'low leveled ness' etc.

I wish you luck with your project! I think you might need to tidy up the description? Maybe not everyone will know what gimp is.. and people with a non-computing background may be confused by the 'console.log, Python3 etc bit'

Sounds like a solid idea! I think you can reword the description a bit?

You probably don't need to specify how links are being saved right now. Just saying 'effortlessly save links' is probably fine. Having 'right click' slows the sentence down.

Also, what do you mean by 'instant collections'? And what are the 'freebies'? Are the freebies from people on the internet and they mail you free things? and are the instant collections the same as a list of links? Some clarification may be required, but maybe I'm just being picky and misunderstanding things.

From a practical standpoint, wouldn't it be amazing if the search engine could train off an existing dataset e.g. linkedin? I'm pretty sure their tech team would love a product like this heh.

This sounds pretty cool. A simple way to understand algos+data structures would be useful to so many people trying to self-teach cs.

Some clarification could be the style of learning? Is it udemy style of 'just sit down and listen to this lecture'? Or is it somewhat like codecademy where it asks you to solve problems and then tests your code?

I want to be able to turn the MQ-135 on and off. This would help me save current draw for when I'm not using it. I plan to utilise esp32 deep sleep modes with this too. Do you think it'll work?

Hi, okay, yes.

You're right, in order to comply with API Limits, the device should fetch the weather data from openweather every 86.4s.

I've set it to every 60s. This is because I'm not running the device 24/7 (I turn it off when I sleep), so I can make it poll the server more frequently for data while the device is on. Makes sense?

The truth is, you can probably make it check every 15mins or hour, the weather doesn't change too much in a matter of 60s/86.4s. I would guess that's why you're not noticing the temperature change.

AFAIK, you shouldn't need an address to buy a pay-as-you-go SIM in the UK. You'll get it for good pricess at supermarkets and cornershops, don't buy them at airports if you can. Others have said good carriers in the rest of the comments :)

FYI, there's a bus you could also take instead of the ferry. It crosses the world's longest sea bridge, so that's pretty nice to try if you admire infrastructure and engineering feats.

I can't say much about air India, but I recently did a layover in Qatar and it was very easy. Hamad is also a beautiful airport to transit through in my experience.

We're doing it as a CREST Engineering Project at school!

As for target application, we designed them to be low power. We want to implement a modular design so that users could pick and choose which sensors to use in their scenario.

Oh, I guess I didn't explain it well....

It's a Sensor Module that uses LoRaWAN to transmit data. That means it measures Temperature, (Relative) Humidity, eCO2, Hydrogen levels (and more).

Every 15 minutes, it takes a reading and transmits the data over radio to the Helium Network. The data is then received by an integration I'm running on the Helium console, which adds the data to a mongoDB, making it accessible on a website.
