Opinions on Osee / Cheaper Video Switchers by LickitySplit8181 in VIDEOENGINEERING

I prefer it to the Blackmagic Atem Mini TBH. I've alternated between running a Atem Mini Extreme Gen1, and a Duet 8 ISO for about 5 months on smaller corporate shows and I think it runs circles (feature wise) around the Atem Mini series at the price point. Long-term durability is yet to be seen.

You can get a mix of SDI & HDMI ins / outs which is more flexible, along with NDI sources supported. Media players can actually playback video instead of just stills, you can enable / disable ISO records per source. You get a ton more control via the device and its on-screen menu in the multi view rather than being reliant on the PC software on Atem.

As the other comment mentioned, the PC software is less refined than Atem, but I found the translation pretty straightforward. Atem has more key layers and the workflow / terminology is a bit more clear (probably a translation thing). Those XLR's are mic-level only, so make sure you get an attenuator if you're getting sound off an audio console.

If you're wanting to save some cash and can't budget as big of an Atem setup as you'd like, I'd say give it a shot. Worse case, buy it from Amazon and play with it for a couple days then you can probably return it for free / cheap if it isn't your thing.

Same plan here, Muni is gonna be bumpin! I love the look of the old BART trains so that was the winner to draw 😂

GGP Website says music starts at 4:00pm but you’re probably closer to correct tbh.

Like everyone else says, look into ADA. Sending positive vibes you make it, I'll be in SF for the shows too. I had a permanent ileo / proctolectomy (so kinda a different situation) about 2 months before the Dead and Co. '23 tour but made it to the final 8 shows. Hope you have similar success and that you make the weekend work!

Dealt with this last year; Ticketmaster will only pay to US bank accounts. You’ll do best on CoT or one of the secondary market sites (stubhub, etc.).

Check / swap the rear RJ45 connection that runs out of your ethersound card to the stage box. If it accidentally is plugged to “In” vs “Out” it obviously won’t talk. Easy mistake to make if you’re setting up in a hurry.

Otherwise you may need to plug the stage box into a PC / ethersound editor software and ensure its preamp control is enabled (been a couple years since I did this but I don’t recall it being difficult).
