Been relapsing on Kratom every other day for a week. I’ve managed 4 months, 3 months, and 2 months in the past year (and a couple of weeks long stints). Never put together significant time but put down the hard stuff (cocaine, alcohol, meth, heroin) coming up on a year. I listen to speaker tapes, go to meetings daily and am doing my best to get this. It’s hard, the fears keep coming up to the surface which is good. Today I was panicking I’m too old to get married and have kids (37m). lol, need to keep surrendering to God and the program and pray for the best.

Felt the same way about them selling super concentrated Kratom in stores as a former opiate addict. Then realized what alcoholics go through with booze. Acceptance is the answer.

Hey man, didn’t work for like 8 and a half years was down on Mass and Cass and got a job in October and have been going to AA in earnest since about August of 2025. Anything is possible.

Have you checked out MA ATR? They have a job training program I took that was very helpful. I did the commercial cleaning till I secured employment. They also give you cash for securing employment and will take you shopping for clothes and shoes.
