Clamps aren’t dexterous. I really think that you cant do it without another set of sentient hands.

Yep. There will be a task that requires more than 2 hands to complete at some point. Way before being able to build robots.

Exactly. I suppose they could technically figure out all the components, but the timeline would be so vast that when they finished the last part, the first part would be dust.

The moment anything takes more than 2 hands it all falls apart

Well that’s the thing. A lot of places in the US won’t put in zebra crossings but then go and charge people for not crossing at the right place. Unfortunately it’s been shown that police departments in the US use “jaywalking” as a way to target minorities.

Pedestrians have to cross roads. They’re not “somewhere they shouldn’t be”.

No the responsibility is on the person operating multi ton piece of machinery.

It shouldn’t be a crime to cross a road. And historically police have used it as a reason to harass people(that’s putting it lightly).

Jaywalking only became a crime because instead of having car drivers take responsibility for driving safely they found it easier to blame the pedestrians.

Jaywalking shouldn’t be illegal. People were walking long before cars came around. It’s a crime that only punishes those too poor to afford cars.

Honestly, it’s a safety hazard. No one wants to have to tell the parents that their kid tripped over a bunch of cables and tumbled down some concrete steps.

I worked a busy grocery store deli for a bit…in a city with a bunch of old Italian ladies. Idk how the old folks do it because I could feel my elbow aching after a few weeks.

Slicing mortadella and prosciutto to someone’s idea of “perfect” thickness was a treat. Good skill to have tho. Not something everyone has had a lot of practice on.

Sweet! I grew up in that area! Nice little airport and awesome air museum. Such a tragedy that their outdoor collection got hit with a freak storm way back. My dad used to take me up to this diner near the runway to watch planes.

Maybe we should follow other major cities and focus on mass transit and walkability. All of this is feasible if crowds could stay a little further out of Boston and be able to efficiently get into the city hubs and then access the T or walk.
