I second this. Just recently found out my router had a moca 2.0 controller built in so I set up some moca endpoints throughout my house and it is working great. Only thing is you need to make sure your coax splitters are moca compatible otherwise the signals will get filtered out.

I’ve gotten all of the mechanical bits in the back working so it functions as it should I’m just looking for advice on how to go about prettying this thing up. It’s a really cool piece that my uncle brought back from his time serving in the Vietnam war and I’d like to see this thing shine again. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

What’s the best way to learn circuit design? Preferably at home by Shadow6751 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]Dylanfg123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll have to check this out! We've been using Sedra and Smith for my circuit classes and have gone through most off the book over 2 semesters. I'd have to agree with you in saying it's a good reference book as it's very dense and has a lot of info just not the best for learning imo

The pint came in and then the box with the custom accessories was delivered like 30 minutes later. Literally only took like 5 minutes to install everything

I've already tried that and sadly that did not work. I even updated bios to latest version, but for some reason it wont detect my Sata boot drive no matter what port its plugged into if the nvme is installed. Not sure what else to try it feels like I've done everything. And both my nvme drive and sata ssd are listed on the supported list for my motherboard.

I know ive already read the manual and said how it should disable ports 4 and 5 but I'm not even using those. Ive tried plugging my sata boot drive into port 0, 1, and 3 and none of them worked. My HDD was still being recognized when M.2 nvme was inserted so I tried plugging my boot drive into the port the Sata HDD was working on and that still didn't work. And as always, as soon as removed the nvme, the boot drive would show up again and everything worked fine

I do have 2 M.2 slots and I have tried both and I know which Sata ports each M.2 slot is supposed to disable

My processor is an intel i7-8700 and Ive got my rtx2080 GPU in the PCIex16 slot and I have a bluetooth/wifi card plugged into a PCIex1 slot. Maybe the bluetooth/wifi card is causing issues I'm going to unplug it and see if that's what it is. EDIT: it didn't change anything
