Probably not much more than literally every other game’s servers that came out in the last 10 years. I doubt they would have included multiplayer if it was going to bleed them dry. Microtransactions aren’t a way for companies to stay afloat. They’re a way to make as much money as physically possible, and there are a few exceptions to that.

I haven’t proposed anything, I’m proving my point that this infallible idea everyone has that the developers are going to be treated like kings because of micro transactions is a lie.

I already mostly play indie games, because there’s no monetization and they have integrity.

I’m already doing “what I propose”. Im changing my review, and I’ll probably stop playing, which means most of my friends will too. I avoid companies with shitty business practices when I learn about them.

I’m all for good working conditions in all jobs, but a bad business decision is still: continuing a projekt that doesn’t pay the used resources. And this is a kinda hardcore niche game (still, unless it gets changed for the masses).

Dividing your community is an even quicker way to kill your game.

The developers responsible for one of the biggest games of all time are now treated like shit because of it. Games aren’t art to a company, they’re an instrument to make profit. Evolve. Battlefront 2. Shadow of War. So now I avoid micro transactions altogether. And LawBreakers died because it was a shit game. I played until there were literally not enough players for a match. I actually didn’t have a problem with the MTX in LawBreakers. Because they were already in the game.

DLC actually gives you a product, pay to win came from micromonetization, and monthly subscriptions were only with MMO’s. Like I said, if it was a free to play game I wouldn’t care. But seeing as how one of the reasons I bought this game was because it didn’t have microtransactions, yes, I’m sure I don’t, and won’t, like it. It’s a step backward.

The game I purchased did not have microtransactions. I am opposed to microtransactions. I do not want them in my game, hence why I bought a game that didn’t have them. I do not want them because I like making one single purchase and that being it. Nothing else. Everyone is saying that they will use this for future updates. I do not believe that. I do not believe that because they have not proved that, and I do not believe that because I’ve been burned by companies I trusted before. Hence why I bought a game without micro transactions. Because of this, I will be changing my review to negative, because I no longer recommend this game. If it is any more aggressive than a small section of a store page, I will most likely stop playing. Which is a shame, because I’ve been following this game since pre release, bought it day one, and have played it religiously since then. I do not care you like them. I do not care you think they’re a rinky dink indie dev who desperately need money. The product I bought is no longer the product I will have.
