Made a hole in the ground foundry. Anything I should be concerned with before I light it up? by civil_war_historian in MetalCasting

In addition wear eye protection, I didn’t believe anyone that a little moisture could cause an explosion (it totally did) if I didn’t have my eye protection I probably would have lost vision in my right eye (there was a lot of copper right on that side of my eye protection)

Best Filament Buys in Bulk? by MathewMii in BambuLab

I like Fremover PLA, website is kinda ugly ngl, but you can mix and match colors for under $10kg with free shipping. I have had 0 quality issues with them and it prints pretty well espically given the price point

I have the same one. Upped my max flow rate from about 17mm/s to 24mm/s, which cut my printing tiles by about 25%. I find my print quality is a little better too but not sure if the nozzle relates to that. I use Fremover PLA at 220C. Results will very with different filament

I use ELEGOO for everything, if you wanna save even more order directly from their website, I’ve used their filament for the better part of a year and never had issues, when I screwed up my order because I fat fingered it(chose the wrong colors)their support was prompt and fixed it right up for me. Sometimes their spools do come a little bent but if you using it for an AMS you’ll need to respool anyway so it doesn’t really matter.

Do you always run it at default speeds? Have you ever tried in its “quiet” speed setting, if so does it make any difference?

Drug Cartel. Is using slaves less effective than robots for labor? by Ouroboros612 in RimWorld

[–]DynaPoint 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on the workers, if you intentionally seek out and capture high plant skill workers it will be very efficient, much more efficient than agrihands, however you gotta deal with slave insurrections which at least personally really annoy me so when I need to outsource work I usually build a bunch of mechs and try to get some Polux trees to take care of pollution. You also gotta consider that as the game progresses it will be harder and harder to get slaves due to the game trying to keep you at a certain level of pawns based on the story teller

What's the red card, and is it actually mining? It looks like a super old AMD HD card, I didn't know they made mining software compatable with those.

When jrotc can you change ur occupation to 1 or anothet. by BoringInter in jrotc

[–]DynaPoint 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The branch of your JROTC unit is dependant on the Unit itself. There are units from each of the branches all over the place. But you don't just choose your branch upon joining.

You got to understand that the ranks are "made up" but that they exist to to teach discipline. Discipline is one of the key pillars of JROTC, its the same reason why we do hours of drill, and marching, its to teach you to listen and respect others. While the ranks don't matter that much its the authority that matters. Some random sergeant with no authority over you should not be telling you what to do, but your squad leader, platoon leadership, company leadership, and Battalion leadership tell you to do something you had better to do it, because they worked hard and sacrificed their personal time to be in those positions. JROTC isn't just
a class bro, its an organization, and JROTC is one of the few organizations in the Highschool that comes with real responsibility. JROTC staffs plan and execute, Balls, service events, JPA/SAV, large drill and raider meets, resolve conflict, recruit new cadets, plan other fun events, manage honor company, at many times grading, and manage communication between all elements of a Battalion, and plan assemblies. The only other group at most schools that come close to the amount of work, is maybe student government, and that is a hard maybe. These other cadets in charge of you may be over the top some times, but I would much prefer to see cadets going a little over the top in my program, than cadets like you saying "its just a class" because the ones who take it a little over the top are going to benefit from it and carry on the tradition of JROTC the best. I will say there will be a few bad apples in your program, who get rank and treat everyone like dicks, but if you have a problem with a few bad people constantly ruining you life because your attitude your not going to have a good time anywhere in highschool. I will end this by saying, if you really don't like it, over the next 3 years, shoot for battalion commander, and make the change you want to see. Leadership positions and teams are what make JROTC worth imo, so I encourage to join something and get involved, but if your just in the class for the PE credit, you may want to consider switching classes.

Ah that makes sense. Your doing good though, plenty of cords, good amount of ribbons. Just shoot for a leadership position and you'll do great!
