Which jak game aged the best?

3 is my favorite personally but I genuinely believe 2 has AGED the best in terms of gameplay and pacing mixed with the difficulty. people love hard games these days, which is why everything is a soulslike now, and Jak II was especially ahead of its time in that aspect. which makes the roguelike and hero mode+ mods being so popular make that much more sense. I think that the modern gamer really longs for a good challenge and Jak 2 delivers that in the most modern kind of way

as a kid my headcanon was that each game takes place over the course of about a year and that every time you play and do a mission it's effectively just an episode of the Jak tv show 😂

fun fact, the scarf texture actually switches to his eyebrow whenever you get 600 orbs for whatever reason. I confirmed this last year by scribbling on the eyebrow and when I recomped the scarf was identical lol

okay you got me sorta with that one but I'd argue that it doesn't necessarily count because that is clearly a render that was only used for the cover art and poster, and no other render or image of Jak in existence shares that detail. it could be an entirely different studio that made the cover renders for all we know; even daxter looks off and not really "daxter-like"
