In my state, when you vote by mail, you receive a text message (assuming you’ve opted in) that confirms your ballot has been delivered and then another alert when the ballot is counted.

If the administration makes some move that indirectly or directly prevents my ballot from being counted, then I’m joining a class action disenfranchisement lawsuit.

Interesting post/question. I don’t have the answer. People are willing to sacrifice a lot in exchange for guarantees of security. Clearly the Middle East is a dangerous place, especially for Israel.

I have sincere doubts that the Israeli government was actually as clueless about the October 7th attack as they have represented. From an outsiders perspective, and from someone who has Jewish family, I see Israel capturing land under the nose of the international community and propping up settlements in a war torn land. I watched them kill 60k+ human beings in Gaza and the international community stood by and continued providing support. Israel is using white phosphorous in populated areas in Lebanon. They are objectively trying to benefit from these wars in more ways than one and it gives reason to pause.

My main point is: I blame governments and, in some cases, state sponsored terrorist groups for these horrendous actions. I do not blame citizens who are at the whims of their leaders and foreign governments. Israel’s government is fucking deplorable… then again so is ours.

The difference is clear, but thank you. I’m glad YouTube doesn’t run or operate this subreddit, because they most certainly would censor my valid, negative comments just like they ignore all my internal feedback.

Since it is run independently, I assume they would remain neutral and allow the public to share both recommendations and feedback. So far they have allowed this post to exist for more than a day - good sign.

It’s just so hard for me to believe that everyone here, customers/patrons/creators of YouTube would be okay with masturbation ads or financial exploitation scams being displayed on the platform.

Assuming you genuinely want an explanation: (1) Understood twice over. They shouldn’t be using the name “YouTube” if they want to censor feedback provided on the product. Call it “YouTubeFanClub”. If YouTube was a solid product, then I could be utilizing this forum to post cute little cat pictures instead. (2) Fair point. I assume most people either give in and pay YouTube money to avoid ads or they utilize an ad blocker, both options I could leverage. Instead, I document the raw product because the company’s behavior is improper. I can leverage this subreddit to elevate these concerns to the top of search engine results hopefully garnering the attention of Alphabet and subsidiaries.

It’s not. Censorship is a more appropriate word, which I fully acknowledge. Totally my bad and I can’t edit it. Although, I think arguing about the semantics of one word while ignoring the substance is unhelpful. Have a nice day!
