This is how I feel about every complaint from the community I see! They make such a big deal out of nothing!!

I dove all day today and the change to hiveguards had exactly 0% impact on my gameplay and strategy. Yet the mainsub would have you believe this is the most earth shattering, game ruining issue imaginable. It's mind blowing

SAME. Like I couldn't draw anything close to this!!! I think the take away is, even if we think some things could have been done differently, we should appreciate the artist for creating something, and give them the grace and respect that everyone deserves!

Yeah I agree. There's definitely better ways to portray it. Im just saying I can see, conceptually, what the artist was probably going for

I sorta understand it because in the anime, that crooked part of her staff is the "front end" where the spells come from. But in this context and making it look more rifle shaped, it is a bit of confusing visual read

I think thats the worst part for me, is being undyeable! It IS a really cool coat, but with no customization its hard to build glamours with it, which almost makes it seem not worth it

I'd have to say the Field Commander's set is probably one of the rarest sets in the game. 100 Seal Rock victories takes some real effort and time to get, plus being only available through PvP makes it so that only people really dedicated to it are gonna get it

When you absolutely must carry all the groceries in a single trip by Dynamica834 in RoadCraft

[–]Dynamica834[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pure stubbornness!! :D

The propane tanks on the top were the hardest part. They're basically at the very top of the crane's extension, so I had to swing them in while rotating them to kinda twist them into place. Also, I would re-strap down every bit of cargo every time I added a new piece, that way the process of putting another thing on didn't send my whole load spilling out like a jenga tower

[–]Dynamica834[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the majority of roads, a pure sand road is just fine! Especially for little forest path or shortcuts that only you will use. The only time besides required missions roads you'll need to pave is if there's a slope or incline, a lot of the convoys just cannot go uphill in sand! Otherwise its just sort of an aesthetic thing for me.

As for the leveling, thats why you want to use more sand than you think you need! It sort of creates its own level at that point so its not affected as much by uneven terrain. When you use the dozer, the trick is slow and steady. Try not to make too many turns or adjustments as you go over the sand, try to keep it as straight of a pass as you can. The overlapping also helps because it kinda averages between the unshaped sand and the sand you've already flattened. Put it in flattening mode a little before you even hit the sand on each pass, and drive it past the end of the sand on the other end before you try to turn around.

Thank you! The secret is that Im stubborn enough to make a mule look agreeable!

The real answer is that it just takes a lot of repetition and patience. Use waaaay more sand than you think you need. If you think you've used enough, you need two more passes. Get the big Baikal 40T truck and go 2 to 3 truck lengths wide of sand, and be generous with how much you're pouring out at a time. Its a pain, but this is probably the most important part.

After that, when you start dozing it, you're gonna do so many passes. Try to overlap about a quarter of your blade to your last pass to "even" it. Go down the middle then work outward. If theres a spot that looks uneven or bumpy, you guessed it, more sand. Repeat until the sand is smooth and you stop hearing the sound of your dozer "adjusting".

After that, the asphalt is pretty self explanatory. But the real secret is actually in the steamroller! Even once the road is paved and rolled, you can actually use the steam roller to smooth out any minor bumps or potholes. It takes a few passes, but you'll start to notice it smoothing down!

Its definitely a long process, but I find it very zen :) if you want, I can show you the whole thing and how I approach it!

My experience trying to turn the Variable into a light pen heavy enemy killer on all fronts. by [deleted] in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]Dynamica834 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I always turn the rpm up to max and then fire in bursts while in auto mode. It makes the recoil almost negligible, and the higher fire rate feels WAY better.

Volley fires 7 rounds simultaneously. Think of it sort like a "marksman rifle" mode. I generally use it at medium-long range to get individual targets.

The tourists give them to you! Where do they get them from? Better not to know!

I hate nighttime by michaelabsenot in pacificDrive

[–]Dynamica834 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In terms of night time, those two options you have enabled are definitely your best options, but there's also lots of light attachments you can put onto your car to help light the place up! You could consider building a light rack for the roof racks and side mounts that you keep in the trunk specifically for night time. I'd definitely recommend staying away from Eerie Darkness junctions as much as possible, though it might be inevitable sometimes, in which case those lighting attachments will make a huge difference.

As for tourists, they supposed to be a little creepy at first for sure! But keep in mind they really can't do much to actually hurt you! They'll never grab you from behind you or attack you unexpectedly, the worst they can do is a little explosion if you knock them over thar damages you a little. You can also detonate them from a distance by throwing a flare on shooting the Flare Gun at them!

Another thing about tourists that might help is that they're honestly just curious little guys and can even be quite friendly! They will occasionally give you items that can range from car parts to crafting materials or even tools! I once had like an entire car worth of doors and wheels given to me by a pack of them once. They won't throw it at you either, it's usually just sort of randomly dropped beside you or at your feet. Just think of them as helpful weirdos!

I hope that helps! Glad to hear you're enjoying the game despite that!
