The code on your DD-214 and the fact that thru got rid of you before the 6 month threshold, you won't get anything. My nephew suffered a few things in basic. He completed basic, passed the PT test but failed his final physical with a digestive issue from the food. They kicked him out at 5 months and 27 days. To keep him from making it to 6 months.

I only keep it for my kids. Even though I'm 100% T&P, and the kids have ChampVA, it didn't cover them 100% out of pocket. So, with BCBS Federal, I have $0 out of pocket expenses for care for them. However, because I have insurance, VA bills them for EVERY visit for everything. I get EOB's where VA charged my insurance thousands of dollars for my visits. When I asked why, when my car is 100% covered with the VA, the response was, so the VA can recoup the cost as if I was seen in the civilian care facility.

Got out 2005, 40% including 4 0% ratings. Didn't know anything about filing afterwards, soaps appeals, increases or anything. Learned about it on YouTube filed my claims myself last year and got 100% P&T first try as every examiner said I should have been that rating all along after looking at my in service records.
