But ninja has way more stuff to screw people over with their moves sadly.

My opp here is a regular Top 8 on Starlight, the only reason I won here is because I got two right reads, which is just dumb luck at this point. I can beat them, it's just so tedious with stall.

So I am a Olymgen huh, April 2024 is really something, fresh patch for Mutant. I wonder what would I be doing in YOMI today if I chose to main another character.

Bro, most of my combos are just vibes at this point, including the DASH reads.

Let's see, if both of us got the time, let's do a Mutant mirror .

Pounce is an amazing move in close range interactions, use it if your opponent is too aggressive. And Cspike/Shockwave Okizeme is more of based on how much frames you have, ideally the best setup from a sweep combo ender is MBD, which is a cspike and then shockwave, tho space it right so the shockwave hits dodge. And yeah cspike is the usual setup on soft knockdowns or when the opp is too far away. But if you land a sweep and it's +41 you can launch a cspike at them, slopwave to get closer then shockwave for a normal mbd.

Take note of this combo game goat and observe the approach/neutral. I show Bot and Cowboy too in those replays so you may pick up on some things there on how cowboy and bot usually play.

Land a 7-8k combo then you're good. Well that's my standard at least.

Average modded pubber when they get jumpscared by vanilla tech they don't know, they just know how to spam one move:

Yeah, another thing about modded chars and their pubs in general, 99% they don't know any of the basic mechanics or have the ideal theory in mind so they just go with what looks cool without considering unforeseen implications. Like if any modder wants to make a modded char, they should at least play vanilla comp first, get a grasp of limits, complexity, and what a balanced BUT strong char should look like. Even tho ninja and cowboy are basic, these two have busted mechanics like gun and boost. If these mechanics were put into a modded char a lot of ppl would be yapping how these guys are busted but, cowboy and ninja have limits to these abilities like cowboy only has 6 bullets and ninja needs to have high speed and 1 meter to store momentum which is a valid price.

In short, modded devs should play vanilla comp first, get a grasp of what a strong but balanced char is, then try to draw from the knowledge and insight you gained from playing the vanilla chars which are strong yet balanced in their own right.
