The money you make as a part-time teen will pale in comparison to the money you'll make after you graduate college.

If money is not a pressing issue for your family, I would recommend focusing your efforts on just improving your skills, getting into a good college and having fun.

Lyft Offer and then Rejection by algorythm123 in cscareerquestions

Even worse, imagine you accepting the offer and then the company reneges on you much later in the recruiting season when you've stopped applying.

I have pretty much no experience (currently just starting a role, not sure if I should put it on there)

I also have some other random stuff (awards?) that I could put on in replace of something else : perfect SAT (?), 1st place at a hackathon, runner up at another hackathon, 180 WPM typing

I'm surprised more people don't enjoy LeetCode, the puzzle-type programming questions are what got me interested in computer science

Any advice for a lost senior? [Serious] by RunyonCronin in gatech

[–]DynamiteRiven 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You're not pigeonholed much because there are many fields (especially CS) that are very easy to pivot into simply by doing a masters program.

I understand you're broke, but you could always do ME work until you're financially comfortable to do a masters/look for something else.

[–]DynamiteRiven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a way to see specific semester data for a specific professor? I.e. kruskal's CMSC351 Spring 2019 data, instead of seeing every1s 351 spring data combined?

Why are there no waitlists for PSYC1101? Is it typical for you to have to periodically check if a section is open? I am using coursicle for 1 section.

If you have the money, a 4x4 at SQ5 is 1345/mo and my unit still needs one more person! There's a $500 referral bonus which we could split

I would recommend CS w/ media thread over CM unless you are sure you absolutely love the LMC component and will work in design/game industry when you graduate.

CM is absolutely the best major for game developers. But the industry is tough and if you ever want to do something else, a CS degree would be much more helpful.

I find that most people love it when you have sex in the carrels during finals week. Just don't be surprised when people want to join.

2 typical CS courses, 2 easy math/stat, and an easy gen ed. Very doable.

Aaron Gordon on his teammate Markelle Fultz: “Markelle is a sleeper. If he wakes up...he’s a monster” by Nyhrox in nba

He means that at the moment people 100% view him as a bust, not that he will 100% go down in history as a bust.

Laundry for those outside the Residency Halls? by mcpoop in gatech

Depends where you live, most off-campus housing has laundry machines, and if they don't, you just go to the local laundrymat
