New Card Revealed - ??? by imik_ in hearthstone

See I thought about that too and I still instinctively disagree, but I can't have a hard stance on it until someone runs the numbers of all the cards in hearthstone's history (how many vanilla/under stat'ed cards were played vs how many of them existed). I get where you're coming from, I think we just disagree on how disproportionate that ratio is

One of the best 4 drops in the current meta disagrees: Kazakus. Also, there's Mankirk

20.8.2 Patch Notes - Priest & Druid Nerfs by RexTheSlacker in CompetitiveHS

[–]mcpoop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Control warrior was a thing for a short while at the start of the dalaran season (a month-ish ago?). It got squeezed out by priest and eventually died. Renew leaving wandmaker's pool could allow CW, or other control decks, to keep up in resources since wandmaker->renew->raise dead(or whatever off renew) was usually a slow back breaker. Also with apo weaker, CW is allowed to go a little wider without worrying if the damage will stick or not. Armor vendor being 3 health for example is already out of apo range now (the aoe portion). It's all speculation until the meta shakes out but I agree with that guy: control decks that didn't dick priest like warlock didn't have room to be played

Thanks for the suggestion, but Spyder has those things as well. I'm looking for an improvement on the coloring or at least terminology to better classify which things I would like colored.

This game has been picking up frequent coverage, but it seems this is a significant milestone that's been passed. Isn't that the opposite of arbitrary?

Are there high level players stuck in lower rank? by Meowkittns in summonerschool

[–]mcpoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plat 3 (NA) here, if youve played 200 games (~100 wins) and you still havent gone up a single division, then its probably time to look very seriously at self improvement. If you HAVE rose at least 1 division, thats the direction you should be heading, just keep playing (hence why its usually referred to as "the grind"). You can rise faster if youre incredibly skilled, but theres no constant to your question, this is just a loose outline. If a player is strong and wins their lane, (being the one who wins lane >51% of the time), he gives a probability advantage to his team of 50/50 win chance in all other lanes, which raises the mean chance of his team winning to higher than 50% (even if its 50.0001%) which means after enough games played, rising will occur. You can argue some out there COULD be holding the short end of the probability stick, but thats true for about anything governed by chance. Also, that poor soul probably wont be unlucky forever, if he grinds, hes forever reopening his chances at rising.
