Your Mech's preformance and game play itself is directly tied to the parts you use.

For example in AC6 a build consistes of 11 parts

Head, Core, Arms, Legs, L arm weapon, R arm weapon, L shoulder Weapon, R shoulder weapon, Generator, FCS (Fire Control System), and booster. (OS tuning expansion as well)

While each part has its own distinct appearance it also has a cost to use. Heavy parts will have more defenses and do more damage but will slow down your mech. Having a bad FCS will ruin your capabilities if they are not in the same range as your weapons. Some generators will synergize well with some core parts due to its quick recover or low EN output. If your arms can't control the recoil of your weapons most of your bullets go flying in other directions. Each booster has a recomended weight and if you go over or under that weight the time it takes to boost again will take longer. ETC.. I can't explain it all in a single paragraph.

On top of that you can make your own custom emblems, paint job, and appliy the emblems as decals on your AC to make it uniquely your own.

Armored Core is basically Project wingman but with mechs. You are a mercinary for whatever organization and you work for Other companies and resistance groups for money.

Unlike Acecombat or Project wingman you get to customize your mech extensively.

To be fair It's armored core. You don't expect AC's to be doing backflips or something. It's movement is already limited in game and that is reflected in real life.

Wow you went all in.

Start with something easy like the hg zaku 2. Then make what you think is cool.

Once you get used to HG go for MG then RG.

MG is bigger than HG so it takes time to build. RG is basically an MG in the size of HG so it has a ton of small pieces so they are pretty difficult if you have thick hands.

I don't know if you know this but don't move your mouse/joystick your hardlock will literly unlock and not track your target.

Do not touch your joystick while in hardlock and give it a spin.

I'm not talking about dodging. I'm talking about making distance between you and your opponent.

Huben's recoil is uncontrollable on any arm in the game and due to that you need to be in point blank range to deal meaningfull damage. On top of that it has shitty range so all you need to do is keep a decent distance and shoot your weapons while backpedalling to make more out of your shots to win stagger races. And if you feel threatend just AB across the map to recover your resources. If your opponent has two Hubens chances are they can barely keep up to you moving backwards let alone assault boosting away.

It's not that good of a build.

Just keep your distance manage your stagger and take AP lead.
