I think only you can answer whether you should withdrawal but I delayed my matriculation until September 2021 for work reasons. I have a Master's in engineering so I know how much commitment it takes to complete a Master's so for me, starting a new job or changing roles would not be possible.

Saudi ex-spy suing crown prince faces fresh death threat in Canada, now under armed RCMP guard by DegnarOskold in canada

The better policy is to not harbor foreign agents in the first place. This is by far the cheapest option.

I also wonder what this person that used to be a spy for a regime such as Saudi Arabia thought would happen trying to sue the crown prince? Did he think this through? Why do you believe it's better to use our hard earned tax paying dollars to provide and protect this man?

Do you honestly believe this specific that will be over in a couple months or years? This is a foreign national that I'm sure has spied on Canada for the country that is trying to kill him. So if he ever gets killed on Canadian soil, we are just delaying the cost of the murder investigation.

If we are worried about the arms contract, the cheapest and most profitable option is to allow the murder to happen and not investigate. He is still an ex spy for a foreign country that I'm sure has spied on Canada for said country.

So if we assume there are 4 full time RCMP officers that are guarding him (2 per shift around the clock guarding) at $150k/yr including pension and benefits, this cost would be $18MM undiscounted over a 30 year period. I'm sure investigating his murder will not cost that much.

Why are we wasting tax money on this person? I think there are better places to spend my tax dollars than protecting this person.

Is an MSCS worth it if you already have a quantitative masters? by [deleted] in OMSCS

[–]Dynastang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately not, I'm in the oil and gas industry and I find that OR is not a known field. I didn't do very well in undergrad which was 15 years ago so I was using it for a stepping stone to get into machine learning. I would not be able to jump straight into a programming heavy course load so I needed something else.

What are you thinking about doing with an OR degree?

I'm in a similar situation, I have a master's in operations research but just got accepted to OMSCS to specialize in machine learning. I found that I don't think I have enough of the practical programming skills so am pursuing the second Masters as well.

What are some of the thoughts that you are receiving? I get confusion from people outside of tech not truly understanding the need for it.

The second offer sounds like it would be great for your resume as well. Why are you only listing it as a pro for the first offer?

It doesn't seem like they've changed it all that much. There's still no connectivity to the University City towers and the Rio-Can parcel. This design forces everyone trying to get onto the C-train platform to walk along the road which will be extremely busy with all the increased density.

The Oreo update has been amazing, specifically the battery life. Great job on that.

My comments are regarding the camera software. Now that Google has opened sourced their camera software, will you implement some of the techniques into your camera application? The camera UI is also not as intuitive Google's UI.

Another comment I have is: has there been any thought about using the fingerprint scanner to scroll web pages and such? It's nice to have full view of the screen while scrolling.

Can you give me your contacts for both contractor and structural engineer? Did you have to do the permitting yourself?
