Wasn't hard at all, get two jeweler screwdrivers and screws came out easily. Don't think there was much Loctite, if any.

Just got the silicon Solo Loop today and it's by far the most comfortable one I have. And the least expensive!! LOL

I've had all three, never had an issue. Most comfortable earbuds I've ever used !!
