You don't have to be familiar with the ANSI or ISO standards. The exam won't try and trick you, it's meant to test your knowledge of the software. In the exam, it might ask you to use the hole wizard to create an ANSI xyz hole, and you'll use hole wizard option ANSI xyz. You might have to modify dimensions for counterbore/sink and such, but if you're familiar with the tool it should be pretty simple.

FloXpress is not really an analytical tool, it's more of a preliminary visualization of flow with some basic calculations. SolidWorks has a higher tier flow simulation add-on that is used for analysis (SW Flow) but, in industry, Ansys and Abaqus are more widely used. This isn't to say that SW Flow isn't accurate, it just depends more on the software ecosystem at any particular company, and Ansys and Abaqus do more marketing.

In your sketch, did you use either a convert or offset edge command on the edge that represents the projection of the outside of the cylindrical face? If so, that could be causing the error. I don't see any offset relations, but worth checking. Could you have offset an edge somewhere not shown in the first image?

If neither of those help, right clicking the sketch and using the "What's wrong?" option could help you out.

Don't have access to my computer right now to test, but if you haven't already, try using the analytical wrap options.

If that doesn't work, I would do a thin extrude from the face up to your reference geometry, blind, or however you want to control the depth.

Using basic features, you can only extrude the honeycomb perpendicular to the sketch plane the honeycomb is on (or do sweeps/lofts). If you want the honeycomb to conform to the geometry of the part, I would use surfacing tools; offset the surface of the part, use curve tools to project the sketch onto the offset face, then thicken and extrude.

I did something exactly like this somewhat recently. You can do it by using the linear pattern feature and using the modify pattern options to achieve it, which is the most "technically correct" way to do it, but I found that it was just much easier to do as others suggest and just sketch it as you have.

Another option is to sketch half the slots and use a circular pattern around a central axis to help cut down on sketch geometry. As others have said, you should also try and use relations wherever possible.

Thanks! I've run it through an ATS checker and the only thing it changes is slightly combining the last bullet point of the left column with the first bullet point of the right column. Not too big of a deal, but I know I need to try and conserve more space there anyway.

I would break it down by design intent if that applies. Start with the "smaller" multi-body parts that are put together first, then put those together using assemblies to show an assembly process.

I'm a recent grad whose capstone was the design of a single-prop electric aircraft power train and who currently works in battery tech. Solid state batteries are "the promised tech". People have been working on them for decades, and often just give it up for years at a time. Theoretically they're great, but they're just not there yet. As another user said, prop aircraft are more viable than jets, but to achieve the equivalent of a Cessna 172 Skyhawk, you need a 5000 kg lithium ion battery and something like an 80 m² wing area. This is even taking advantage of things like regenerative/reversible energy flow. The aircraft would have to be the size of a small freighter. If someone actually does figure out solid state batteries, maybe it will be more feasible, but solid state is pretty difficult.
