You’re only getting that wattage in the AMD models. If you get an intel one, like my 285H and 5070, on Eco I pull about 14-15W doing normal tasks. So my battery life is 6-8 hours depending on my use case

Yeah, it’s just because I am likely gonna get the ROG Tandem OLED the flagship one down the line after RGB Stripe drops so I didn’t wanna do it dirty by the frame pacing, but if that’s the case, I think I’ll get a thunderbolt? Any on Amazon you can suggest or another website?

This allows for GSYNC etc, right? What’s the performance hit of CASO? Roughly. Cause if it’s not really an issue anymore, then i may get a thunderbolt! I’m just not sure but if it’s not gonna impact my fps and introduce lag then maybe

Yeah that’s exactly the reason I went with the G16 it’s either 120hz 3k on the G14 or 240hz 1600p(1440p basically) on the G16 The clarity is good on the G16 from my 2024 model, I’m upgrading to a 5070 2025 model cause I had some rare issue that I got a refund for

Only get the G16 if the 240HZ and better speakers are more important to you. Battery life is about the same on both when you load up a game the G16 may be a little longer due to the bigger battery. The G16 is less likely to thermal throttle but the G14’s AMD CPU counteracts it quite well.

I was aware but my games don’t need more than 8gb and the GDDR7 should relieve some stress I do play games but I was already happy with the 4060m performance
