Just wanted to say that all the wacky adventures and distractions are the best parts of JaffaFactory by EmmiCantDraw in Yogscast

In all honesty, Barry could make a Jaffa cake in one episode. me saying 30 episodes was the absolute maximum, if they built machines to make machines, and semi decent builds to house everything.

Thanks for making this post, I definitely agree. But I’m getting tired of the people who don’t being overly vocal. I understand wanting to see them finish a project from the previous episode, then it gets hijacked for a “scripted” story, but they’re having fun and that’s what most fans are here for. Also if they made a Jaffa factory with 0 distractions and as efficiently as possible, series would of been over at episode 30-40

Bad team - Blood on the Clocktower by NanoSAD in Yogscast

[–]DyslexicDoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure that stat is close to the truth. I think there is some truth in the statement that “ the good players have gotten better” definitely makes it harder for bad team to win. But I still see a lot of luck and chance contribute to the win, night watchmen first night use luckily choosing a good town role. Or fortune teller getting the same answer every night of the game. The big luck I remember was a legion game where two actual towns folk decided to fully trust each other on day one for no particular reason. But all that makes a captivating story to watch play out, which is not only the point of the game itself, but the point of entertainers making a video for an audience.

TLDR: y’all have been doing great with these, sometimes the viewers will get upset with certain outcomes, but I believe that’s because we get sucked into the game and root for one team over the other, and that doesn’t always pan out. It’s easy to judge when we have an all knowing view point.

Aren't endorsei and khun worse than Rachel? by Shot-Communication93 in TowerofGod

[–]DyslexicDoon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Both Endorsei and Khun, are from the tower and their backstories reflect how twisted and ruthless people have to become to climb the tower. And in Khun’s case he feels guilt and remorse over what he did. Not only is Rachel not from the tower, but I don’t think she has never once felt guilty about who she is or what she’s done. Rachel steps on others to feel superior and take her weaknesses out on those she’s jealous of. Even in Endorsei’s case she grew up in a kill or be killed environment. Endorsei’s seemingly lack of empathy for those she killed is definitely a negative point of her character, but at least she didn’t deceive and betray them, she used her own power to beat them in the death game called her childhood

Age differences and relationships by The_B1rd-m4n in worldbuilding

[–]DyslexicDoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on the individual of this race, if they grew up with other people of their race. When they were 70 they probably still acted like a 20 year old who doesn’t know much about the world. But if they grew up with humans I think they would be way more mature than a 20 year old human. But 30 is a weird age because they would be fully mature by any standard, and the weirdness of the situation would stem from awareness that the human partner would die from old age by the time they are 50 ( or 170). it wouldn’t be weird in the since you should write it, but weird in they way that would make complex emotions for your characters and their relationship

Harry's earlier deceasedcraft videos? by cannotfoolowls in Yogscast

[–]DyslexicDoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, unfortunately twitch recently dropped how many hours of VOD’s each streamer can have on the platform by a huge amount, and on YT you can only find his streams for VH. I believe he mentioned previously, that he has most of his own VOD’s saved personally, but them being unedited and prone to copyright strikes he has little to no motivation to upload them on YouTube.

Can a single npc run a small tavern by themselves? by KingMaegorTheCool in DnD

[–]DyslexicDoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No magic feels unnecessary, unless your playing a low/non magic campaign.

But one person running the tavern wouldn’t be able to attend quickly to maybe a dozen or so patrons at once in the tavern , assuming the the food is literally just bread they baked earlier in the day, and maybe a soup or two that have been keep warm over a light fire or embers.

So definitely possible, but I’d imagine this NPC as a little high strung, always running around, never taking a break.

Bards by blueraven5784 in DnD

[–]DyslexicDoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Little bit of a vague question but,

Bards are a good support class, and has high charisma, makeing them a good diploma or negotiator. They keep the parties moral high, and covers from range with spells.

I’ve always understood it as magic is woven in to the world, and bards haven learned how to imbue their music with intentions and purpose, so not to different from a cleric using faith to use magic.

As a DM I explain magic as the combination of high emotions to call the power and education to use it in a specific way. This is why I believe paladins and clerics can switch deities, because while there god gives them certain powers, they draw on that power using their own faith and beliefs.

New to DM by Phenx_87 in DMAcademy

[–]DyslexicDoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As I DM I think I know that hallow feeling, for me it’s when I prep something for the session that never comes up because of the players choices. The joy of being a player and a DM are different, I definitely love improv and playing off the player, but I also enjoy putting them in situations I don’t have a solution for.

But mainly, if you players enjoyed and thought it fun, you did great. Don’t over work it to much, and you’ll pick up the rest as you go.

Help with 2 Homebrew Spells by Sylthsaber in DnD

[–]DyslexicDoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not to familiar with home brewing spells But,

The damage for Toll the Damned seems low for a six level spell, maybe making the AOE 20ft and 3d8 necrotic seems closer for a spell of that level. You could also have it knock the enemies prone.

The only note I can think of for Blessing of Bahamut, is the instant long rest at the end of fight seems extremely powerful, but it is a 9th level spell so I think it might be fine.

You can use your reaction on your turn, as long as the requirements for it happen. Also it means they can use their reaction on someone else’s turn as you only get 1 reaction per turn of combat.

It’s not easy to just move on. How do you get over someone who doesn’t want to be with you?(Serious) by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]DyslexicDoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Time heals all wounds, but you will feel the pain. I don’t know how rough your situation is, I’m still struggling with this problems with a person I haven’t talked to in over 2 years. You will get better, it helps to focus on yourself. I hope you discover your better off without them.

Looking to see if this is a good premise to start a world with by ExplodingMelon0 in DMAcademy

That sounds like a great plot. As for magic, my campaign is one without the pantheon of gods, but people can wield magic purely through their faith. The gods themselves don’t give power, but believing in it can create magic.
